Some gamers love to play simulations because it lets them become other characters and direct their virtual lives. Or is it the other way round? Spike and Button or Rick and Peter. Who's to say what's a game and what's reality? Maybe the only difference is a matter of perspective!

And they need to cooperate in order to back the bag guys,
Bag the bad guys?

Some interesting turns of phrase. A simple idea, but very solidly fleshed out. It took me a little while to get situated with all the different names, with two? characters and eight? names between them.

Thanks! Fixed. I hope. I thought about the use of the handles - but I was trying to be more true to life (at least as I perceive it from looking at my kids gaming.)

Wow... This was actually a pretty good story. Wish it was a bit longer though.

Thanks for the kind words! One of the downsides to writing something for a contest is the limited time available. In this case I could have submitted an incomplete story, but I already have several multichapter stories underway, and I don't want to add to the list until I finish at least one or two of them!

Wish Button hadn't been C & D, he could've been so much more. I do enjoy as to how you portray him in this.

Thanks! I also think Button Mash has untapped potential. The show has so few male characters and I think Spike (and the show!) could definitely benefit from his having a male buddy more his age.

Nice! Looks like a relationship is blooming!!!

Your Celestia is so genuine, I love it. That letter at the end really completes this story in an amusing manner!
