As soon the line describing Ponyville I exclaimed "Fuuuuuuuuuck!" rather loudly. I was guessing it was going to be FoE, but that is soooo much worse.
And now that I'm done, I have to say, I was surprised by how seriously you took this premise. Sure, it was a bit morbidly lighthearted a few times, but mostly it was serious. Also, this was really good.

What you described about your writing is what happens to me EVERY SINGLE BUCKING TIME that I try to write. So I know that feel, bro.
In review of the story, I found it easy enough to understand having only watched apple.mov of the pony.mov series, so great job on that note. Your self-insert character was fairly well done, it was very clear he wasn't just some Mary Sue wish-fulfiller. I honestly gasped when *spoiler* died. I thought he might actually be left in that universe to die in for a moment.
Also, there was quite a bit of win in the fact that the genie could break the 4th wall.
...is it bad that I enjoyed every minute of this?
wish 1: to have 10 more wishes
wish 2: that HDD's Spike would be alive and unharmed in a safe spot in his Equestria
wish 2: to be able to summon green flame like Spike's all around me
wish 4: for Norm the Genie to buck himself inside his lamp while I'm in Lauren Faust's Equestria, unless he is called out to grant a wish
wish 5: for everyone to suddenly ignore that I said 'wish 2' a second time
wish 6: the power to bring the genie's lamp with me
wish 7: to be healthy and physically fit by human standards
wish 8: to be able to digest hay (it will be needed)
wish 9: that The Great and Powerful Trixie and the Flim Flam Brothers were not still homeless by the time I arrive at Equestria (no pony deserves that, especially just for being confident)
wish 10: to be able to connect to the internet via a magical computer where ever I am (to read any of shortskirt's story updates while I'm in Equestria)
wish 11: That I would be magically transported unharmed to Lauren Faust's Equestria, one minute from now, for one full day (always set a time limit on the big wish, cause if he is gonna trick you, that's where it will likely be)
wish 12: I wish for 10 more wishes!

First, I'd like to thank you for "Space is a Waste" (and Time is a Crime). I had no idea that the person with the strange, seemingly poorly-drawn avatar was actually an extremely talented musician.
Also, you successfully taught me how to pronounce "F'naaa". And for that, I am well pleased, Mr. Moses.
Ponky is a portmanteau? So... Pink+Hockey? Pony+Pinky? Those are the only two combinations I could come up with at this current moment in time whilst looking away from the keyboard in order to observe The Lord of the Rings as it's playing on the massive TV placed before me. I like being able to type without looking at the keyboard. It makes me feel special. Yeah, kill some orcs!
And hey, SS&E didn't actually write Anno Domini. You should correct that.
I believe the original title of his work was "I met a pony in hell (and we kicked ass together)"
So... yeah.
And second, anyone knows that the only way to beat a genie's trickiness is by wishing for a lawyer. It is canon, no? Wish for a lawyer, and everything will be made well, in regards to this story!
I actually remember being kind of... frightened/horrified/moderately disgusted/displeased with the whole .MOV series. Just not my cup of tea.
But you actually created a surprisingly good work here, which has made me look towards you within an even more favorable light.
Clearly, the people of SATGF (are you a member of that pre-reading team?) are freakin' fetchin' awesome fetchers.
I'd also like to again say that you have impressed me, both with your impressive voice, and your impressive piano skills, and additionally your impressively humorous writing.
Why, if I got an elaborate and detailed response in the form of a comment from you, I'd probably squee and nerd all over the place. I'm already looping "Space is a Waste" for potentially hours on end, such that it embeds itself into my subcranium permanently, unless of course another catchy song gets stuck in there. I can't help that about myself.
But rest assured, your SS&E references and fast-paced musics will accompany a random stranger for hours on end whilst they use an imaginary avatar to dig holes and build sand castles. And only me, because my older brother refuses to allow me to blare it on my laptop's speakers... I was forced to use earphones! Like, the little uncomfortable buds that always hurt your ears if you leave them in for too long. Which I will inevitably do. Because *squee* it, this song is *squee*ing amazing. Just like... imagine someone with a look for which they could be described as "flabbergasted" and that would almost be me. Other than the fact that for the most part I just have an emotionless visage in order to disguise my true emotions from my playfully abusive brothers.

So, yeah. If you could acknowledge my compliment when you happen to come across some of this elusive commodity known as a crime, I mean, time, either through a message sent (heaven-sent?) or a comment written (hopefully at a quick pace) would cause me to smile, and admire your dedication to your fans, and respond to your message with another long one most likely. Then after a few exchanges when you tire of my words, the conversations will die down and you'll likely forget about me, and who knows, I may forget about you.
It's a big world, after all. Or, a big fandom, I guess.
But for you, space is a waste except for that area which you occupy. And no time is wasted when you fill it with your artistic talents!
