With a whole day free, Twilight Sparkle spends a day with Derpy as she goes about her daily routine. Eventually uncovering a past that nopony fully understood; not even Derpy herself.

ok ok im not gunna lie here i did tear up at the near end TwT in a sense derpy is really lucky she has the most purest of hearts and has somewhat the inablity to think ill of anypony she ever comes across, in the show derpy is soppose to be a colt if im not mistaken (since thats how the VA saw derpy) (hope in season 3 they make derpy a tad more feminine approach with the same antic and same voice if at all possible) i definitly approve of female derpster xP fantastic one shot :3 hope you write more someday with another pony or maybe more derpy :D insta-Faved

. Who is Derpy's mother, and why is Pinkie depressed? Are you suggesting that Derpy stopped the formation of Pinkamina Dian Pie (the alternate crazed murderer from Cupcakes)? All in all, great story. Well written, shows that you put time and effort into it. Haven't found that many grammatical errors and I'm a college English professor. My first favorited fic

personally I think this one is better than the spitfire one, but mostly because this one went wrong without there being some sort of enemy, I really like how you can connect with a character and imagine what could of happened to them, what is happening, and what will happen even if you're not righting it, you put so much detail in you actually almost brought a tear to my eye... just one tear... and only one eye... almost. you have a real talent and i want to keep reading your other stuff, but its midnight and i have school tomorrow lol.
the only complaint i have with it is that with the spitfire one and about half of this one you always say the purple pony or something on those lines, i find lines like those are good for when 1 you dont know who it is or its the first time seeing them in the story, or they have been away for a while and come back. or 2 when they do something heroic, for example ""I did it" said the purple coated pony.", that was just something i made up and has no relevence what so ever, but i ho u get what i mean. normally just a "Twilight commented" or something on those lines will be fine.
And thank you for putting vinyl in the story the way you did, cuz clearly she is best pony
