I love the MLP fandom, and I love all of you! I'm so grateful to have all my followers as we go down a rabbit hole of romance, adventure, and world-building!

Well, this seems to be interesting. A question. It was mentioned that Rainbow Dash is pregnant. Who is her mate?

5235948 she is currently in a herd with the original Wonderbolts' team, so the father was either Rapidfire or Soarin'. Not sure which yet!

Does this herd include the female members of the original Wonderbolts?

5235970

I am pleased to hear that. Spitfire and Rainbow Dash are one of my favorite pairings.

Good, the sequel's up! I'd like to see art of all the cute foals! Just when things are looking up for the ponies...

They fight amoung themselves while the true enemy gathers streangth, though I can see how the origins of the Equestrian EMpire and it's subsequent prosperity would anger some individuals.

Kudos is deserved for making a country that resurrection and continuation of life is treated as a positive.

A possible wrinkle you may want to include depending on how long a time frame this sequel is going to cost. Ponies may start "pushing" on precisely what constitutes "before their time".

At first I expect this won't be notable. But in two or three generations the "expected lifespan" may get gradually longer. Especially if the ponies are restored to renewed bodies.

Also i suspect there are some who willingly become love fueled zombies.

Either because they love dangerous lives or because they just don't want to bother with the costs life entails.

well Congratulations General Highclaw, you managed to piss off the Equestrian Empire AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF ITS ALLIES. there's a special place in tartarus with your name on it; and you'll be joined by the Caribou High Priest as your Cellmate.

I do hope you elaborate on the situation with the humans. Those poor little things

The simple fact that suddenly several seemingly level-headed nations are suddenly acting in such a abhorrent manner says much. And while it appears magic is not at use this time, I have to wonder, who the puppet master might be.....

What type of hybrid is Shining?:derpyderp2:
I just re-read the first story, and at the end you have all the undead being affected by the magic of one of the 5 alicorns.:unsuresweetie:
You had several different types of hybrids...I mean everything from crystal versions of all pony types to vampire and wolf like ponies, but all that is mentioned is the Celestia versions with flames and golden eyes...:duck:
May be I am jumping the gun, and you do plan on mentioning the other types, in which case I apologize.:fluttercry:

the next wave of Thunderbolts up in Cloudsdale, alongside her herd of the original Thunderbolt's team.

Did you mean "along side her herd the original WONDERBOLT'S team?":rainbowhuh:
I can understand the name change like with the phoenix heart, but they were originally known as the Wonderbolts.:rainbowdetermined2:

Other than that I love the story so far!:rainbowkiss:

5243044 ...whoops. That is actually a typo. ^____^;;

Wow those griffins are retarded, I mean way do they think it would be a good idea to attack a nation whose people come back to life if they don't die of old age.

This is good, really good.

uuuupdaaaate?

This is a fantastic story! Take all the time you need to make fantastic chapters, even if i want you to....

No one seems to get that you don't fuck with races who have LITERAL GODDESSES as their leaders.

:yay: New chapter! And I love it!

Now, to business:

Author's Note:
Purity doesn't like to stay down.

That may be, but I get the distinct feeling that she's going to get put down soon, in a very firm, to say nothing of very final way, like the mad dog that she is.

And I cannot wait to see it happen!

At the hooves of a very pissed off Twilight, I hope.

Also, certain so-called "nobles" really should learn to keep their mouths shut when they're in the presence of an experienced battlemage like Dinky. Methinks that that's gonna come back to bite them in the end.

Pardon the pun.

And another thing that's pissing me off about these "nobles"; They're more worried about themselves than the fact that war is brewing with the griffins and the Minotaurs; etc.; and that that is the very reason that Dinky and her mages are training so hard.

Idiots.:facehoof:

Unless...this was all a set-up of some sort, and those so-called "nobles" know about those spells of Dinky's?!

Probably impossible, I know, but.........

Dang it! Now I really can't wait til Chapter 3 comes out! I wanna know what happens as a result of this!

Really good chapter.
When is chapter 3 coming out? :pinkiecrazy:

Applebloom closed her eyes tightly, ears perked as she listened for any inconsistencies with the engine noise; they were still fairly new technology, and untested on the battlefield. Command had tried to base the design on the fabled pre-Imperial P-50 Wolf, but had gone with a diesel engine and several inches of added, sloped frontal armor.

oh dear, Diesel Engines are a New Technology in Equestria, I wonder how many of THESE happened in the Engine Test Cells before they got it right:

I too must agree with you on those counts, they either know that something is watching or theyre just spiteful ignorant wastes of nobility as they seem to be already.

What I am more interested in is the severe ignorance the northern griffons and the minotaurs, along with the third member of their group Camela shows in dealing with what essentially is the worlds strongest superpower. What has the consequences been since those talks back in chapter 1? It was pretty clear that there was a potential civil-war brewing in the griffon lands, but there hasn't been anything since then.

5348267 Thank you.

And I definitely agree with you on that last bit, about them being, to use your words, "spiteful ignorant wastes of nobility as they seem to be already".

What they also seem to be forgetting (conveniently, or otherwise) is that Dinky was (once she and the former CMC freed her, that is) personally trained by Twilight, and is one of her most-trusted Knights.

Consequently, I'm thinking that things ain't gonna bode too well for these self-important idiots once a certain lavender-coated Empress gets wind of this.

And she will; you just know that she will.

(AS if Twi didn't already have enough of a headache worrying about some of their idiot ex-allies.:facehoof:)

Which brings me to this:

Yeah, me, too. I was already boiling mad about what that idiot griffin general said when he called the Equestrians, who were perfectly within their rights to fight for the freedom of their country and their people, "rebels and slaves who wouldn't bow down and accept their fate" (kinda paraphrasing here, as I can't remember exactly how he put it). Talk about showing your ignorance! As you said, the Equestrian Empire is their world's strongest superpower, and has more than enough firepower to blow the Northern Griffin Kingdom (or whatever it's called), the Minotaur Kingdom, and the Camela's right off the proverbial map!

Which I honestly hope happens...mainly because, where the griffins are concerned, they seem to have forgotten (again, conveniently, I think) that if it hadn't been for Twilight and her unliving (I prefer that term to the "undead" one) army of ponies and Changelings; etc.; wiping out the Caribou forces, those drain-dead featherheads would still be in a war with those creeps! Which makes them ingrates at the very least.

And I'd like to know that, too. We'll probably find out one way or another before long, though.

5348331

In this instance the Empire might have to make good on what was said in that meeting however....forced defeat/subjugation of those factions might make them re-think their positions once they've lost all. Possibly wit the addition of forcing their own native forces to the role of mere defense forces only with no recourse for a fixed period of time (and since the leaders/advisers to the empire are so long-lived...500 years or so is nothing to them).

And they are all still aware of the true enemy that theyre preparing for, and I don't think the new crystal heart is going to be enough if they loose there.

5348356 Hmmmm, this is true.

Okay.

And I just have a seriously bad feeling that you're going to be all too right about that last one.

Mainly because, even from what little that we saw of the Ash'ei at the end of ToaNE, they ain't exactly slouches when it comes to war, and preparing for it.

That's basically why what the Griffins, the Minotaurs and Camela are doing now bothers me so much. They need to be standing with their Equestrian allies, not trying to get their own piece of it and it's lands (and/or citizens).

5348405

This is a classic case of short-sightedness when the bigger picture and long-view need to be taken into account...and said bigger picture is what makes those who notice it go '$%#%#%$!!'

Let us hope that they notice it soon.

5348502
5236864
5348356 What do you all think of Imperial Intelligence?

5351052

I sincerely hope that its NOT a joke like in some places, but I also have to reasonably expect them to be in the dark in some areas.

5351052 I think that they sound like they're on top of things. Which is good.

5341232 It's always a pity putting down a good horse.

Good thing Purity is anything BUT a good horse, or else I'd feel bad!

5365897 Indeed it is.

And I think you just spoke for both of us on that one, my friend!

god friken dam it all what is with people and making rarity a freak in spy god damn i can see how she can gain
intelligence from the ponys street but come on dam

I await the flames.:pinkiecrazy:

P.S my avatar is oddly appropriate.

Spitfire actually spits fire. How appropriate.

oh boy it is going to be good!

Apaarently the Griffins are also idiots as well as poor planners, these Equestrians are not the 'love and friendship' types anymore.

Hmmm. kill foals of a known military race that WILL go on crusade when you get them angry...

*Starts carving a tomb stone that says Here lies the ENTIRE Griffon race*

Oh, and Im joining them. NOBODY hurts innoncents when Im around and gets away with it *bares my teeth and claws and lets out a low Growl*

Rainbow Dash knew that the Imperial Magic Corps would be able to bring all of the students back to life.

You do realize this system will eventually bite them in the flanks in the near future. For a small nation this is not that bad but it will lead to quick overpopulation which would make them expand. From how this is looking, it will look like they would be expanding into griffon territory after they kill them all. While immortality is nice they also have to accept death, not cheat it.

Angering a pegasus pony with any bit of political power is a bad idea.

Ohhhhhh, boy, is it ever!:twilightangry2:

Especially when that Pegasus Pony is Spitfire.:twilightangry2:

Oh, yeah, those griffons are toast.:ajsmug:

(The majority of them quite literally, I'm thinking.)

On another note, to my mind, attacking and killing foals just proves to me what absolute cowards that the Northern Griffons are. Attacking and killing children? Not the smartest move on their part.

Also, I'm thinking that they've forgotten (conveniently, or otherwise) that Equestria has the ability to bring their citizens, of whatever age, back to life, good as new. (Well, relatively speaking , that is.)

You'd think that the featherbrained idiots would've learned from what happened during the Equestrians' war with the Caribou, wouldn't you? But nooooooo.........

5483828 Well put, on both counts, my friend.

5483830 Indeed.

But remember, the Southern Griffons are still (I think, anyway) allies to the Equestrian Empire, as are the Saddle Arabians and the Ruskalan Empire. (As well as the Sea Ponies.:pinkiehappy:) I'm thinking that the Southern Griffons need to be given the benefit of the doubt in all this, given that they disapproved of what General Highwing said in that meeting in the first chapter.

*pulls out popcorn maker and cashier

come one come all great fight gearing up

grab your popcorn here

5483876 That's a very long term problem and assumes no advances in technology. You're also assuming they don't let people die of old age, which might be a good assumption actually. I wouldn't. :derpytongue2:

But, in the worst case, they could just leave most of the resurrected ponies as undead. Undead don't need to eat, right? And wouldn't have more kids.

5483876
Most of the problems of overpopulation boil down to not enough food and other necessities of life to go around. Those "necessities" are entirely optional for a good portion of Equestria's population. They could go pretty far before they'd actually run in to any serious issues with crowding.

If there's one thing you do not do ever, it's start attacking the young. Any male is bad when riled, but you attack a child and you'll get every mother that youngling's parents know coming after you with anything they can get their hands on, and while the males will kill you, the females would be more likely to turn you into stew, while you're still alive, and it wouldn't be the type that needs whole bodies either.

That said though, Dforgrym, armour up. We've got idiots to slaughter. Let's see how they like waking a broody she-dragon that's half-starved from egg watch and low on sleep from the same. Particular when said dragon can set the lot of them on fire with her mind.

well, it looks like the Country of Northern Griffonia is about to become a MASSIVE CRATER. this might sound very uncouth of me, but this attack reminds me of 9/11; the Muslim Terrorists (Northern Griffonia) didn't just poke the Hornets nest known as the USA (Equestrian Empire) they took a BASEBALL BAT To it!

5321492

greed and arrogance clouds judgement

:facehoof: Wow ok this is why there is the saying "Hell hath no fury then a female scroned" the Northen Griffens are going to be ash. As for the raising the dead I think they limit it to death by unnatural means like in the case of the vitems of the bombs here.

5484379 Very true.

And what you said brings to mind something that I heard while watching a documentary on World War II on December 7th, 2014, celebrating the 73rd Anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on Sunday, December 7th, 1941 (my late mom was a couple of months over 2 years old then. But back to the subject).

The head Naval officer of the Japanese Royal Navy, as any history buff knows, was Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, who said this:

"I fear all we have done is awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve." [upon learning of the success of the Japanese raid on Pearl Harbor]

He also said this, in reference to invading the American mainland (likely on our West Coast):

"You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass."

(Also bear in mind that this man was a naval military genius (well, he was a military genius, period!), and even the Allied leadership of the war acknowledged this.)

Getting back to the subject, though, both of these quotes would serve the Northern Griffons' stupidity in this attack on Equestria's Pegasi and their aerial cities, and other attacks. Mainly because the Equestrian Empire, to my mind, represents the same "sleeping giant" to their enemies as we Americans of WWII did to Admiral Yamamoto and the Japanese forces.

5484414 Well put.

5484679
but unlike the US Military, which has to deal with a Congressional Leash (which won't allow the US Military to properly Eradicate the Enemy) I foresee Empresses Twilight and Cadence PERSONALLY Eradicating Northern Griffonia for the loss of thousands of innocent Lives.

5484811 Hmmmm, interesting point there.

And I think you might be right. I don't think that they, or the Pegasi, are gonna be any too tolerant over this one, either.
