Interesting take on this universe. I'm curious about what would be the point of divergence that Mystic Sparkle choose.
The writing's a bit clunky so far, I'd suggest a few more commas and a few less periods. Also, I believe it's 'Amadeus' rather than 'Amedeus'.
Other than that, I like the premise, and I'm interested in seeing where this is going!
Please tell me Mystic is going to burst in on the guards just as they attack, kill them, hold a hoof out to Twilight and say "Come with me if you want to live!"

It is complete non canon to his story for Mystic turns out different there because Velvet didn't die. So a what if for those who enjoy Aftermath but wish for a brighter future.

6728923 I like to do my stories in cycles. Admittedly Altered Destiny has been on the back burner for awhile. Right now Queen Meets Princess is next, with Love Seriously after that, then I plan on Nightmare Nightmare, It was supposed to be a costume. I even have several I have yet to write. then I have RERAL life ontop of that so please be patient.
I hate having to post this video, but love it when authors give me a reason.

6906973 because I felt that it was needed. While things will be brighter here then in Rated's story it will still have dark elements. While it would have been interesting to have mystic interact more with everypony that was never my intention here. I named this unknown for a reason. What she did will be largely unknown to the ponies of Equestria.

Actually, depending of how much detailed the information in the book is, there will be major butterflies:
- At personal level, at last Flash's suicide and Rainbow's almost suicide are avoided. And maybe Applejack confess her feelings for Twilight.
- For the protection of his brother, Gallant Heart become evidence. They also manage to clean the Royal Guard for the influence of the conspirators.
- They will know that the conspiracy goes beyond Blueblood and went to his father, Amadeus - so they could arrest him in treason charges, and if he manages to escape to Unicornia, there is a chance that he loose his prize: his alicorn foal - it would be really interesting if she ended raised by Twilight...
- And Twilight, Celestia and Luna could use the attack to make people favorable to Twilight's reform proposals... after all, the ones against the reforms are the same that tried commit assassination and give the control of Equestria to a foreign power. The Princesses could use it to claim that the reasons that the conspirators want prevent the reforms is to keep Equestria weak for invasion and conquest...
Mystic's sacrifice would indeed not being in vain.
