And yeah, even as someone who's not into W40K at all I know the Imperium is bad news. Hopefully they pull through.

NO! You CAN'T cliffhanger us like that! Are they still ponies?? Good start, can't wait for more!

So the whole planet basically turned themselves into Chaos Ponies? :rainbowhuh:

So technically he did not save them, but Discord conquered them more peacefully then what the Imperium would have done.

Anyway, although I am an Imperium fan author, I am a greater of Discord, SO LET THE WARP OVERTAKE EQUESTRIA! HERD THE IMPERIAL LAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER! BRING KHORNE HIS FILL!

One word: Exterminatus.

The ponies are doomed.

And then Trazyn comes in and yoinks all the precious artifacts, killing everything in the process.

Except his cargo bay was full, so he left Abbadon's arms on the planet.

It is human nature to seek euphoria in a time of jubilee. It is a sign of heterosexuality to cry out against wanton faggotry, rather than to bow one's head and succumb. Inevitably many will fault the hands upon the sword which felled the Conversion Bureau, the Ordo Mysterio. But the Inquisition merely performs the duty of its office. To further love them is redundant; to want to kiss them, heretical. Those more sensible will place responsibility with those who forced the reking of the Inquisition. With some fortune, they may foster this hatred into purpose, and further rule their own fate by coming to the Emperor's service.

Yet ultimately, it was Chatoyance who set these events into motion, with a single blow from her hammer, Shit Spitte-.

WARNING: This story is villains versus villains.

This is gonna be one long ass comment but here we go.

“I MIGHT be able to kill them all before that, but they're used to fighting creatures of the Warp like me. They'll never be able to kill me, or even contain me for long, but they'd most likely be able to delay me long enough to murder everyone on the planet.”

1d4chan.org/images/e/ed/Dreadknight.jpg

Yeah right.

Send in the Ordo Iritus.

This reminds me of something someone said in the comic strip Pogo. As I recall, the character asked if it was less offensive to someone's dignity to be cooked BY the monsters that are against him or WITH the monsters that are for him. The ponies have chosen the latter.

Ooohh boy, this is going to be fun. I finally read the entire thing. Dear Emperor son, what have you done?

fc08.deviantart.net/fs16/f/2007/167/f/5/HERESY___the_musical_by_al_saqr.jpg

That's what.

Discord hesitated another moment, and said, “A possibility to win against them. To conquer, even.”

The crowd went into an uproar. “Then why not share it?” Shining Armor said. “As it stands, our best option right now is to blow up the planet OURSELVES so we don't get tortured to death by the Imperial Inquisition!”

“I hesitate, oh Big Bozo Pink Princess's Boytoy Forever,” Discord said, smirking when Shining Armor blushed in frustration. His expression softened as he continued, however. “I hesitate... because it would mean changing the fundamental nature of every living thing on this planet, of the very magic that permeates this planet. Using my power over the Warp to turn every pony, griffon, zebra, EVERYTHING... permanently into creatures more like me... I hesitate, because I've come to love you all... and I'm scared to death that if I do take this path, the ponies I love won't be there anymore...”

This plot makes absolutely no sense in a 40k based context. This is the thing about Warhammer-Cross-Pony fanfiction. The ponies are going to /die./ Unless it's a native crossover, and the ponies are the actual Imperials. Or, by some magical luck, their planet is reached by the Tau first. Then they /still/ might die cause that's the damn nature of Warhammer 40k. This is the uni where space zombie mr skeletal built an almost indestructible Death Star that only had it's shields penetrated when an Imperial Battle Barge, an 8km something CAPITAL ship with an odd 700-1000 Space Marines on board RAMMED into that shit at top speed and crashed into it. It's meant to be ridiculous. A single demon world will not be able to do much against the Imperium, just look at the Eye of Terror. A fucking warp rift smack dab next to Cadia where almost /every/ CSM ever is.

So, unless Discord can bullshit a mystical Warp Rift, that's tremendously hard to make in canon, OR Necrons pop outta the ground and go:

fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/235/7/2/profile_picture_by_thatoldrobot-d47k53n.jpg

You pretty much have a bunch of Chaos /Spawn/ running around and doing nothing while the Imperium just orbit-ally bombards or Exterminatus' the Chaos Strewn planet. You seriously just gave the Imperium no reason to want this planet and go down to the surface, and they will just blow it up on principle.

gg no re heretical fgt next time do yo homework

img.4plebs.org/boards/tg/image/1369/82/1369824101689.jpg

There are only two things that make the Imperium go "on second thought..."

And this story contains neither Necrons nor Tyranids.

Why can't there be a conversion story where the TF DOESN'T destroy the pony's old personality? And the conflict is actually about the culture clash between the "new" and "old" ponies?

5041803 You bring up very valid points as I understand your frustration, but I chose to take this not seriously.

I would recommend that when on a crossover fic 99% of the time.

Read on War Hammer 40k before making a story.

5042658 I will read on Warhammer before making the next chapter. *nodnods*

5042549 That's the best way to take this story, honestly. (Not taking it seriously, I mean.) I freely admit that writing this story is catharsis for me after reading fics where my favorite characters ended up butchered without a chance to fight back...

5042699 You got A LOT to read, tell me if you need help on a subject.

5042791 I want to be bittin C:

5042699 That's because Equestrian has to git gud as a nation, because it's obviously would get rekted if they faced any of the Warhammer Galactic Empires and races.
And how would this rekting happen?

A good old WH40K... Where the term 'universal shithole' is actually the nicest thing you can say about the setting. So we are going to turn TCB against WH40K then? Well I'm not the first, and I wont be the last, to say that VERY few things are as over the top, completely asinine broken as WH40K is. Even taking ponies to the absolute ridiculous extreme, like say every unicorn is at least as powerful as Twilight was in the Season 4 Finale, doesn't come close to WH40K level of absurdity. That being said, I'm NOT a fan of WH40K, so I might just read this to see if you can make a pony victory even remotely plausible.

As for WH40K itself? It think's itself terrifying but I've commanded the CORE and ARM forces. That shit is scary. In 40,000 years WH40K has neither ended the fighting or had any side come close to destroying their own galaxy. Total Annihilation exhausted the resources of an entire galaxy, and utterly destroyed the empire that ruled over it in a golden age eons, in a tenth of that time. WH40K needs to step up their shit.

5042791 I only allow that sort of biting if you buy me dinner first.

5045915

WH40K needs to step up their shit.

Refer to my comments. Heretical faggot.

5046452 Again, step up your shit. You take forever to pump out a decent fighting force. We here at CORE build empires that cover an entire planet in days, MAYBE a week if its a truly massive world. Then there is scale. Seriously you Imperium types really need get off your asses. And probably remove your heads from them as well. You are completely outclassed. Mr. Krogoth do you have some words here?
DIE.
Thank you Mr. Krogoth. You see dear Imperium scum, what you can do in days, we can do in seconds. By the time your forces are marshaled to deal with a single Commander, you will find an armada waiting for you. And if you take the time to gather one yourself, we will have already stripped a dozen worlds and built a force capable of reducing you and your god to nothing more than components for our greater glory. And best of all? It's already done. By the time you read this, it is already too late. A CORE Commander has already built a metal extractor...

Edit: Now that I got that out of my system, did you want to wait until after the Imperium is burring before the lovefest, or do both a before and after party?

Did he just turn them all into warp entities, or did he make Equestria a daemon world? I'm not an expert on 40k, but I don't think the first would solve much. The second would likely cause them a great many problems, but I'm pretty sure they'd be safe from exterminatus. One of the books even says the Inquisition doesn't pronounce exterminatus on daemon worlds because it's "at best ineffective and at worst counter-productive; the last thing you want to do in such a case is give them ideas." I could easily be wrong on that though.

5042226 What does TF stand for?

5048022 What is CORE and ARM?

5084302

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_Annihilation

The Core, the inner worlds, who transferred all their minds to computers. And the outlining worlds, the Arms who rejected this notion of immortality. And had to destroy each other over this inability to reconcile.

Damn. Sorry about all those down votes. :-(

5084361 I knew I'd get them the moment I decided to put Conversion Bureau in the title. I'm not worried.

5084302 This guy, 5084360 is entirely correct. To give further backstory on it though, the entire galaxy was in a golden age prior to the mind transfer tech being invented. The CORE controlled pretty much 99% of the galaxy. Then they learned how to become immortal machines. Half the galaxy rebelled when Core Prime issued a mandate that everyone needed to transfer, no exceptions. Thus the ARM rebellion. Four thousand years later, EVERYTHING is destroyed. The entire galaxy has been all but depleted of resources and all that remains of both CORE and ARM are a single commander and their respective homeworlds. Canon says that CORE was on the verge of total victory, but ARM pulled through in the end to finally win. Only it's pretty pyrrhic as all of ARM's forces are nothing but clone upon clone of the same people.

As for why NOTHING in WH40K can stop either Total Annihlation faction, that is one part simply because of how fast TA builds. Given ONE planet with Earth level resources, starting with nothing more than a single commander, they can go to full tech and a world conquering army in an hour That's taking time to build every single bit of tech in their collection, not just the most efficient/fastest. And that's while in combat against each other . In at most 3 days they have a world spanning Empire. Full and total control, now building to move to the next world, and that is NOT moving at full speed. Then there is this line from one of the Cave Dog team.

AKs are 10 meters tall, fire half meter diameter lasers, in the kiloton range, and can exchange fire against similarly strengthed weapons with a reasonable degree of endurance.

This is the weakest unit of the CORE faction. It's ARM equivalent, the Pewee, is more powerful. These are basic infantry that either faction can build hundreds of in mere seconds and are so much weaker than the rest of their forces that a single Commander can kill dozens of them without a sweat.

In short, they are scary legions of doom who only exist to end their respective foe. This is something that the GrimDark Warhammer 40K setting has as well. In fact pretty much every race in WH40K is this. The breakdown is that they can't do it nearly as fast, and nowhere close to the scale. I will grant that EVERYTHING in WH40K is crazy overpowered, crazy awesome, and batshit insane levels of terrifying. There are very few verses that can even compare, let alone compete, with a single faction from WH40K. Total Annihilation is one of the very few that can not only compete with one faction, but are so disgustingly OP that they completely curbstomp the entire WH40K universe. This is usually what happens when anything goes against WH40K. Either they curbstomp or get curbstomped. I actually cant think of a single verse that can simply compete off the top of my head. It's either one extreme or the other.

5086243

Total Annihilation is one of the very few that can not only compete with one faction, but are so disgustingly OP that they completely curbstomp the entire WH40K universe.

Yeah, no. They could very well curbstomp the Imperium. Chaos or the Necrons? The Tyranids? Naaaaaaahh. You know I'm right son.

5092322 Go back, reread the entire post, like the parts where they out produce the Necrons and the Tyranids combined, and the part where the weakest thing in the TA universe is a 10 meter tall doom bot wielding a multikiloton death ray. The same unit which is mass produced in the hundreds to thousands PER SECOND. TA is what happens when you combined crazy overpowered with crazy von Neumann production capability. Chaos is the only part where it is in question, as it is impossible to determine if either CORE, which are replicated brain patterns in machine bodies, or ARM, which are endless clones of the same handful of people, have any noticeable presence in the Warp. If they do, then it becomes a question if any of the Chaos factions can corrupt either the ARM or CORE Commander. The one that does wins WH40K FOREVER. Because then you have crazy overpowered, crazy von Neumann production capability, AND Chaos fueled super crazy. If neither TA faction has a real presence in the Warp, and thus uncorruptible, all the Chaos factions are just as screwed as everything else.

5094477

Yeah, no. Cause Chaos has theoretically infinite eat/rape/takecontrolof/giveyouanSTD demons who can never die. And the Necrons are shown according to glorious Matt Ward (*BLAM*), I mean. Before Wardian faggotry, that everything seen of the Necrons were in fact just the vanguard scouting parties. And gooby pls. The Tyranids will eat yo face with their bajillion tillion thousand galaxy-eating OPness.

5094718 IF Chaos really had as much power as it claimed, it would have already crushed everyone and everything else. They talk a lot of big talk, but most of it has been just talk. They use corruption/deception/others to win the vast majority of their battles. The Necrons are still mostly sleeping and have taken ages just to get to where they are. They're major forces are going to wake up to find ARM/CORE forces already on their tomb worlds and capturing their tech. And the Tyranids don't have FTL tech. By the time the uncountable hoards arrive TA would already own the rest of the universe. It's more likely for TA to run into the Tyranids while looking for other galaxies to conquer than it is for the Tyranids to arrive with enough forces to actually stop either ARM or CORE.

5094736

The reason Chaos hasn't crushed everything in real space is a combination of the unholy OPness that is the GOEM, the OP as fuck anti-magical Necrons, /and/ the fact that the Chaos Gods don't give a shit. Like at all. Most of their efforts are towards The Great Game amongst themselves. The only time they all communally focus on Real Space is during Abaddons Black Crusades, (and during the Horus Hershey), which caused /massive/ damage for TEH IMPERIUM and everyone else. So yeah. Oh, and the Tyranids /do/ have FTL technology. They manipulate the gravity of star systems to fling themselves at shit. Stop wanking your shit, I already conceded that the IOM would probably get stomped. Oh, and >stealing Necron tech. Lel. Top Lel.

5085582 wait, why has this story been bashed? I don't see anything wrong with it... for now (chaos factions are so predictable, why not just make them over-powered and insane without the chaos faction pandering?)

Honestly, this feels like a straight up hate fic or revenge fic if your vague and abyssal comments on my 40k fic were anything to go by. First of all, writing a crossover for a story that you barely know is a big no no and not only pisses off fans of that series, but also damages your integrity as an author as well.

Also, your lack of knowledge on 40k really shows. Discord is only a small fish compared to the sharks that are Chaos from what we've seen. He should not be able to do all this. His endeavor is also pointless when you consider the grey knights.
fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/077/d/7/Grey_Knight_alt_pose_by_TerronViking.jpg
The grey knights? If you are talking about the Inqusution who is dealing with a Xeno or Daemon threat, odds are they will have Deathwatch or the Grey Knights with them. These two groups are very fucking skilled in taking down aliens and chaos. Even if the Grey Knights are not with the Inquisition at the moment, they will still show up to counter the threat regardless. The Grey Knights have anti warp abilities and have never fallen to chaos despite being pyskers and kill Daemons worse than chaos on a regular basis. Chaos can win battles, but all changes with an exterminatus or a a grey knights team.

The Imperium is extremely OP. One Daemon world will not stop them, so it would have been better for Equestria to accept destruction rather than become Daemons and delay the inevitable.

To make matters worse, Discord turning the planet into chaos is going to make the Imperium MORE sure they want to destroy the planet and send a fuck ton more firepower.

Furthermore, if not the Imperium, Discord and chaos are completely screwed against anti warp Necrons and orbital bombardment from Tau who are too stoic and emotionless to be affected by the warp.

Finally, this has nothing to do with the Conversion Bureau. You probably just added that to bait people.

Despite all I've said however, I refuse to down vote this since I believe comments are better. If I were you, I would have read more on 40k before creating this dark fic AND avoid putting conversion bureau in the title.

Don't worry though, because your other fics still show that you're a great author.

5048022
Imperium of Man? Yeah they will get rekt by CORE.
Orks? Ditto.
Eldar? Would get rekt if they came out to fight, but Eldar are manipulators who can see the future, and don't go into fights without a good reason.
Necrons? They would put up a pretty good fight. Probably will get outproduced in the end.
Tyranids? Depends on which fanon theory you subscribe to. If you think that they are a giant force that consumed thousands of galaxies and the swarms 40k saw are just scouts, they could theoretically defeat CORE. If you go for the idea that Tyranids are running from something, then that something would put up a pretty decent fight against CORE, but we don't know it effectiveness.
Chaos? We have a problem. First off, CORE has no way of accessing the Warp, so they cannot defeat Chaos. They can destroy Chaos when it appears in the materium, but they are merely sending them back into the warp, not actually damaging it. Second, are your CORE commanders closed-minded, bigoted zealots who make the people in 1984 look like paragons of acceptance? No? Well congratulations! They now have been corrupted by Chaos, and the insane productivity of TA is now reinforced by the reality warping BS of the Ruinous Powers. Have fun. Finally, without the God Emperor of Mankind (who was roflstomped by CORE), Terra turns into Eye of Terror Mk II, warp storms and daemon incursions start occurring MUCH more frequently.

6137338 Actually, yes, yes we ARE closed-minded, bigotted zealots. You forget, we here at CORE devastated pretty much our entire galaxy, slaughtered trillions, and waged continuous, total war for over four thousand years... Because people argued with us about becoming robots. They didn't want to, so clearly the only rational response was for us to DESTROY EVERY SCRAP OF THEIR EXISTENCE! Plus there is the advantage of NOT having a presence in the warp, due to being robots, which iirc makes us completely immune to Chaos. Thus this leaves the Tyranids, or whatever they were running from, as the only real threats remaining. As for defeating Chaos on a more permanent basis, I believe that answer is "Seal The Warp" How? Not sure yet. We have invented spacial folding technology, and once we have integrated tech from the now extinct races, we probably could find a way to pull it off. In the meantime we will construct massive Disintegrator Guns, weapons that destroy targets by negating the bond between atoms, and point them at all known Warp Rifts. With the resources of the entire galaxy at our disposal, having enough to construct and power such things would be a simple task. Demonic Incursions, meet Total Annihilation.
