A time skip seems obvious enough, even though the episodes are right after each other chronologically, they are still a season apart, and I don't think those types of things happen right after one another. As for the hostility, it was said in a previous chapter that Cadance was going to tell Twilight everything that happened, and I mean everything. That's where the wariness comes from.

I still didn't like that you force us to miss tons of stuff on purpose. And it sorta unnerved me that in one minute; Twilight is in a horrible coma, and will possibly won't come out of it anytime soon.
BUT the next minute, she is a O.K. and is already being a jerk to our worm. ( Without showing us their own first interaction with each other?? )
