Spike swallowed the Inspiration Manifestation spellbook. At the same time that he realizes he's gained its powers, Twilight learns about the fact that he literally ate a one-of-a-kind spellbook. Was it worth it?

Bahaha! :rainbowlaugh:
Spike was so in character, I think I agree with him. Swallowing that book was very worth it.
....I'm hungry now...
....For chocolate chip pancakes. :moustache:

4321490 Thanks! I'm so glad you liked it!

Now go get some pancakes!

I'm suddenly craving jewel-pancakes.....:rainbowlaugh:

Yo, Spike!

Can i get a PS4?

I'm wondering if when the moment he swallowed it, he flamed it and sent it to his hammerspace, the same place he keeps his Noble Dragon Membership Cardâ„¢.

4321490 Spike won't be saying that once Twilight realizes what's going to happen to the book. :duck:

This was entertaining. If you were to write more, I'd definitely read it.

4321490 I want chocolate chip pancakes too!

4322276 i want blueberry / strawberry with whip cream

:yay: Someone wrote a fanfiction on my prompt and it got featured. Congratulations, RenaissanceBrony .

Now Spike has enabled God Mode...

...Can't wait to see how he f*cks THIS up. :pinkiehappy:

Ya know... the book had sharp spikes on its cover... wonder what would happen if the book turned back to its original self inside of Spike?

4322873 That's... probably accurate. :pinkiesick:

4322015 You mean write more chapters of this story? I actually hadn't thought about that at all...

Okay, okay, I'm calm.... phew.... breath.

It looks like I owe you double thanks! :pinkiehappy: Not only did you give me the idea for this story, but you were also the only one to point out that it was featured! I would never have known if it weren't for you!

I've been wanting to be featured for so long, I don't think I can express how happy and thankful I am that you showed me it happened! Thank you. Thank you so much!

Keep thinkin' up those wonderful prompts!

4323080 getting hungry i see and to think all it needed was a cherry on top

4323046 Yeah. This was both expected and unexpected at the same time, and I loved it. I would gladly read more if you wrote it.

4323156 It was really the part about whipped cream that got me.

4323409 Hmm... I really had no intention at all of continuing this. But now that you point it out, it is a pretty good setup for a longer story.

I'll have to think about it. Maybe once the Equestria Daily Writer's Training Ground is over if I still feel the urge to write I'll add some more.

Yup, Twilight can rage all she wants, but that book is g-o-n-e: gone.

And since it was probably a dark magic haven, it is probably better that she didn't get the chance to read it anyways. Spike for da win. :moustache:

I don't suppose this was based off the first episode in Black Books? It'd soooo make my day if that was the case ^^

4324299 Well, if you do decide to do more, perhaps you could expand on what's going to happen to the book now that it's inside Spike's stomach. :duck:

Couldn't Spike just make another replica of the book by imagining one and burping it out

Happy Spike is a non monstrous create on demand country wrecking machines with a Rarity desire.:duck:

That was what I was thinking through the story.

Spike better hope he isn't discovered by this. Ponies would probably try to ask him to counterfeit bits and jewels to try to get free money, and eventually the entire economy would go bad just because Spike made too much.

And then the book was the Grimorum Arcanorum, and Spike became an evil wizard dude. :moustache:

4324662 Shoot. :applejackunsure: I'm sorry to say I have no idea what you're talking about. Sorry to disappoint you.

4324688 Yeah, I'd definitely have to get to that eventually. :rainbowlaugh:

4324812 Yeah, that makes sense. I don't see why he couldn't.

4327757 Considering that ponies can already just go outside, dig a hole in the ground, and just happen to stumble upon a huge pile of gems I'm kind of wondering how the economy hasn't already collapsed.

very extensive training

Though you said you don't have the intention of continuing the story; do you think you could make an epilogue where Spike suddenly stops being as oblivious as Twilight so that he can just think up and make another book :o? Unless you're going with the idea that he has to know all the contents of the object to be able to make it. Neat short story either way~

4328697 I'm not sure that Spike would even want to make a copy of the book. After it nearly consumed Rarity and caused Twilight and the other princesses so much trouble I feel like Spike would want to keep that from happening again.

Oh, I hadn't really remembered what trouble it caused them... was that what the Rarity thing was referring to?

Oh please make a sequel or another chapter, I so wish to see this become a longer story :rainbowlaugh:
Perhaps Spike visits a few ponies, granting wishes or something and becoming really popular and loved leading perhaps into another scenario of greed and fame getting to him.
Either way, this was really amusing and deserves something more :raritystarry:

4342898 The story definitely lends itself to being continued. It really has just started, since Spike has yet to do anything significant with his newfound powers.

If I ever do feel the urge to continue a story that I've written in the past, this one would be my first choice at the moment.

I'm really glad you liked it! But the most I can say right now is that it's possible I'll continue it eventually. :applejackunsure:

4343540 I'm very glad to hear all that and I thank you for taking the time to let me known this.
Also, you're very welcome, I enjoyed it a lot indeed :pinkiehappy:
Here's hoping for an amusing future :rainbowlaugh:

I would really like to see this plot point in the actual show.

Then Spike wished for the world... and the world formed inside him and he blew up.

The end!

4352759 It was kinda a "Monkey's Paw" thing, he needed to be careful with the hubris in his wishes.
