Fear, it is one of the most primal emotions any sentient being can feel. Fear of the unknown, fear of death and fear of loss. Fear can overtake and consume a being in so many ways. It has been this emotion that Thaal Sinestro has built his Sinestro Corp on. They plan to rule all of known space, using fear as their weapon.
Fear, it is often a word associated with the infamous Nightmare Moon, and even though Luna is no longer the infamous mare of legend, one can never totally discard the past. When a mysterious yellow ring appears before Luna, granting her untold and immeasurable power, will she give in to the temptation and enslave Equestria with fear, becoming the tyrant Nightmare Moon once more? Or will she find some way to use her new powers for good?

Well, a guy with such easy to please tastes such as mine isn't really who you want picking apart your work, but I'll give it the twice-over.
I couldn't spot any problems leaping out at me with their teeth bared, so that's always a good sign. And while it can be hard to tell from a single chapter, Luna and Rainbow seemed to be in character and had an endearing rapport that will hopefully be built on. Oh, and you didn't spend too much or too little time in description of the environment, setting and characters so there was never any 'dry' spots or moments of confusion as to what was going on.
In all, I think this piece really emotes the transcendent Equinity of the subject and the subjective nature of society's prevalence towards the north-eastern fault line of the post-modern impressionist movement.
tl;dr: I liked it.

Huh, this could go places. One thing I hope this fic explores is that fear itself is not a bad thing, you didn't evolve to have this reaction that will get you killed. It's just that too often people fear the wrong things.

Interesting... Will the timely intervention of the Green Lantern Corps prevent Sinestro's corruption of her character? Or will the Ponies remind and teach her that fear is not a good thing to exhume, yet alone embrace. Or will she fall into her role as a Yellow Lantern; cause chaos for the Ponies and The Guardians of the Universe?

Another Lantern fic? I should be bored of these but I don't think I can get enough! And this isn't green (like most fic's I've seen) but yellow. I know much of the inner workings of the green lanterns but yellow, not so much. I think that they're like the green lantern with policing the galaxies (but with fear!) but Sinestro's grudge with the green lanterns stops them from being as such. It's gonna be great seeing Luna interact with these unique individuals.
This may be blasphemy for some but here to Princess Luna taking the Yellow crop under her leadership!

I hope Luna gets her due in the early parts of the story, though. Even if she was cleansed of the Nightmare, she was a divine personification of fear itself, and is an awe-inspiring power in her own right. I hope the story plays with this idea - as opposed to the usual 'rookie being shown the ropes' progression, a Luna who even while (at least initially) rejecting the idea of falling back into wielding fear, has to wonder what these mortals, for all the technological prowess their rings demonstrate, think they can teach her of the uses of terror.
How much of the actual comics are you dropping in this? Or are you simply making up your own storyline as you go?

I wanna say I was extremely close to getting in this morning. The bottom fiction in the featured box had less favs and likes than mine, but a story with MORE likes and favs than mine updated pretty much at the exact same time mine did.
