In an alternative universe of Equestria, we follow four friends as they become infamous heroes.

Though, it would be helpful if their version of Equestria wasn't limited in the magic department so that only the most powerful beings had true magic...

And again, this wouldn't be too much of a problem, but without a large supply of magic the barrier between worlds... well... weakens.

Silverstream hears about the Ghostbusters NES game, particularly its long flight of stairs, and tries playing it. Will she love the stairs or will the gameplay get too annoying for her? And then, the only other character who loves stairs joins in!

After the Willowar, the ponies of Equestria put up a statue of their fallen General, but what happens when this statue is stolen and ghosts now run rampant throughout ponyville?

NOTICE: I feel I need to say this to avoid confusion the only ponies turned human are Sunset and the Dazzlings all other charcters are the human world version of them and have neither the memories or experience of their pony counter parts. The Twiligt in this story was the Twilight that at the end of Rainbow rocks in glasses. Not the princess pony one. Thank you for your time.

Having finished high school at Canterlot high Sunset goes to College with the human Twilight. While Twilight studies mostly established fields of science, Sunset focuses on the paranormal after hearing of the heroics of the Ghostbusters in New York. Shortly after they finish their studies, and return to Canterlot, they get wind of numerous unexplained and ghostly events. After getting the gang together Twi and Sunny head out on a road trip in Vinyl and Pinkie's failed party bus to ask the Ghostbusters to investigate. Due to having just finished dealing with the events of the games the Ghostbusters offer the girls the option of franchising rather then just a simple investigation trip. So they help them set up the bus as Ecto-16 and set up in Canterlot.

Now the new Ghostbusters of Canterlot must take on a rising hoard of ghosts. Join Adgio Dazzle the team leader, Aria Blaze the badass, Sonata Dusk the slime exorcist, Rainbow Dash the driver and awesomest of all, Applejack the mechanic, Sunset Shimmer the field expert, and Twilight Sparkle the labtech, secretary, bookkeeper and boss. As they face of with demonic power of the Nightmare Moon and her legions of the dead!

Science and magic, though vastly different from each other, both represent a fundamental facet of pony civilization. The supernatural, however, is easily regarded as fiction. In all of the tomes and scrolls of Equestrian history, there has never been any evidence that has proved the existence of things like clairvoyance, extrasensory perception, or even ghosts and apparitions. At least, none that have been recorded. When a strange incident at the Canterlot Archives occurs involving floating books and a white flash of light, Princess Twilight Sparkle volunteers to investigate after the authorities are baffled. Unfortunately, her initial findings are ignored and scorned. She vehemently believes that the incident was the work of a ghost. Refusing to back down, she formally establishes the Paranormal Research and Containment Committee in order to fully understand the nature behind these bizarre incidents.

"Oh come now, Twilight Sparkle. Why don't you just call us what everypony else calls us?"

Ghost have always been a problem, until they came. The Ghostbusters, headed by Paranormal Specialist Twilight Sparkle, have put the ghostly hauntings of Manehattan to sleep time and time again, but when a new problem arises, they are put to the test. Good thing they aren't alone. With Experimental Technician recruit Fluttershy by their side, the Ghostbusters are on the case to solve the mystery of the mandala and stop Manehattan from becoming a new location in the ghost world.
