Silver Spoon comes to Rarity for help fixing a broken piece of jewelry. Rarity tries to show her that sometimes, there are more valuable things than trinkets.

Written for the Writeoff Association's February contest, "Closing Time."

Diamond Tiara is a rich, spoiled brat, and the only thing she cares about this Hearth's Warming is how many presents she's going to get. However, the night before Hearth's Warming she receives three mysterious visitors, each with something different to show her. With the help of these ghosts of the past, present, and future, she just might realize the true meaning of Hearth's Warming.

Once upon a time, Silver Spoon's life made sense. She had the right friends, the right house, and the right school for a young lady coming up in the world. Once upon a time, Silver Spoon lived amongst proud towers in a vibrant, bustling city that never slept.

Now she lives in Ponyville. Not so terrible once one gets used to it. Silver's learned to appreciate some ponies, harbor grudges for others, and tolerate the rest. But sometimes, she wonders if one pony in particular is as popular as she thought.

Diamond Tiara knows all about work delegation: if you want something done, have other ponies do it for you. In the name of that goal, Silver Spoon studies for both and Diamond copies her friend's efforts. It works every time. Except that Cheerilee just forced Diamond to switch desks. And with finals a week away and no personal knowledge for most of the subjects, the only ponies she can now hope to copy from are Snips and Snails. Something which may get her sent all the way back to preschool. And there's no way Diamond is going to lower herself to doing her own work.

Which means the colts are going to be learning on her behalf.

No matter what she has to do to make that happen.

It's for the best cause ever, after all.

Diamond Tiara had recently gotten her fabulous cutie mark, and she absolutely loved rubbing it in the faces of her less fortunate class mates, especially the blank-flanks that went to her school.

With her cute-ceañera just around the corner, she decides to mock them by inviting them to her party, though after teasing Sweetie Belle just a little too much, the unicorn filly's still-developing powers cause Diamond to receive a Double, one with a personality almost completely opposite to hers.

What would be of a slumber party without talking about your crushes? Diamond and Silver are having one. Diamond find out who’s that special pony for Silver. And then things go weird really fast.
