It's been two years since the war began in the north. Two years of being pushed back, kilometer by kilometer, across Equestrian soil. The nation runs short of qualified ponies fit to lead her masses, and casts her net ever wider in search of bodies for the furnaces of war.

Summer Meadows, the youngest daughter of a venerable unicorn house, is pulled from her officer training early and sent to the front to be a tank commander. She is, of course, excited at the prospect of serving her country and her princess at last, but there is one small problem: she doesn't know the first thing about being a tanker...

Join Summer and the rest of her scrappy tank crew in their own individual adventures as they battle the enemy, and sometimes each other, to defend the nation they call home.

/ - / - / = \ - \ - \

This is a tank crew ensemble story set in a world in which Equestria finds itself in a losing war with a power-hungry neighbor, using hardware loosely based on the Second World War. It combines two things I love: ponies and tanks, in a never-before-seen kind of pony war story.

Tagging information:
-Death & Violence tags are both very self-explanatory. This is a war story.
-Gore tag because, in war, legs get blown off sometimes, and that's just how it is. There is neither revelry nor glory in it, it just happens.
-Narcotics tag because cigarettes are an essential piece of the early 20th century soldier's diet, and it wouldn't be a proper war story without them.
-Sex tag for innuendo and shaded reference, not for the actual act nor even the direct mention of it ever occurring. While it unavoidably happens in a co-ed army, we still run a family-friendly ship around here. Or tank, I suppose.

The bitter rivalry between Hiesenbridle and El Burro comes to a head in this spastic, many-holds-barred, showdown between the legendary chemists. Meanwhile, can love bloom even on the playing field? If these men's partners survive, maybe we'll find out.

Was originally just a side story to Not Another Anon-a-Miss fic (Being caught up with that fic is not strictly necessary for the enjoyment of this one), but more is already being cooked up to be served in small, conveniently sized baggies!

Special thanks to
Nova Quill/Firimill for her edits, suggestion, and Pinkie's song in chapter one, and a bunch of ideas already and probably more to come! Also thanks to Tired Old Man for his edits!

This story is a sequel to Ponyville Noire: Tails of Two Private Eyes

When reformed thief Daring Do and private detective Phillip Finder took down Silvertongue, the reigning king of Ponyville's underworld, they hoped that things would get better for their city, and for each other. And with the dawn of a new year, and the honest if harsh Cold Case as the new chief of the Ponyville Police Department, that hope seems fruitful.

But nature abhors a vacuum. The throne that Silvertongue vacated has been taken by his former associate: Zugzwang, a cold, bloodthirsty sociopath who harbors a chilling obsession with Phillip Finder. But not all meet his rule willingly: the griffon Whitestone declares war on Zugzwang and his allies, and Phillip and Daring are caught in the center. Amidst the chaos, the mysterious Scarlet Letter manipulates all three sides as part of an unknown plan.

Ponyville is burning all around them. With a few friends at their side, Phillip Finder and Daring Do fight to restore order, but they and the city might not survive without a few scars.

Have you ever wanted superpowers? Or for a chance to escape your reality? Maybe both. But let me tell you now, sometimes power comes at a price. For some the price is too great but to others they would give anything for the ability to become virtually anything. Until… until they realize too late that it wasn’t worth it and have to live with it. This is one of those tales.

Moon Dancer has released a guide on how to forget happiness and in the process find something more meaningful.

This contains some pretty dark themes like the use of drugs to suppress mental illnesses, self-harm and suicide. Keep this in mind before reading the story.

A rush of mares in moth-eaten rags and their foals were hustling towards the infamous citadel, in hopes of curing their offspring from the numerous diseases they had. Every foal had at least two slowly eating away at their mind, ever since the apocalypse that plagued Equestria.
"Attention! Attention! This is the Equestrian Dispatch!"
The radio message would glitch and buzz. It was coming from the citadel, as it had many times earlier. When the message was over, the familiar tune was played.

The tune. This god-forbidden tune had been spreading its' cryptic message for far too long. They say it causes mass hysteria and even suicide, mainly for foals. Some say its' a government-created cleanse of overpopulation. Others argue over if the familiar tune played at the citadel contains noise frequencies that lead to panic. All mothers bring their foals to the citadel, as a way to protect them from the famine-ridden apocalypse.

Trigger Warning for suicide, gore, and famine. Read at your own risk.
