Just something I thought of while I watched Rainbow Rocks. Submitted for Everfree Northwest Scribblefest 2018, "Family Trees, Roots, Branches, and Leaves."

After discovering that Cadence is not who she appears to be, Twilight is sent to another world entirely by the disguised Changeling Queen to avoid her plan being disrupted.
When Twilight lands, she discovers that not only have Spike, Owlowiscious and Peewee followed her, but that they've arrived in a world where the main sentient species is human.
There's still a place where they teach magic, though.
Crossover with Harry Potter. Twilight will be effectively taking the role of Hermione.

Stuck with the insufferable know it all Twilight Sparkle was a fate worse than death. Or was it? As time passes, the once tiresome mare had become almost pleasant to be around. Could he actually be falling for her?

This is one story I never thought I would be able to write. I had been wanting to compose a Twicord fic, but had no idea how to get a good setup. The idea for this fic came from SageBrony07 who's also been instrumental in the idea for many of the chapters.

Following a near fatal incident involving her magic, Twilight goes into a deep coma. Her friends continuously visit her in the hospital in hopes of seeing her get better, but each day things worsen for the unicorn. Knowing that their dear friend may not recover, they begin to ponder upon their friendship and what they will do without her there. As time passes, they slowly begin to lose hope and slowly stop visiting their dear friend, who they fear is gone.

Meanwhile, Twilight finds herself in mysterious dark void, which constantly changes. Her mind is haunted by disembodied voices from her hospital room and by two mysterious ponies that she seems strange familiar with. Trying to find out where she is, she traverses the dark void in search of answers. But what she finds isn't what she expected... And it brings upon a terrible realization of where she is and how she got there.

Spike's unfaltering desire to be "Helpful", especially to Rarity causes him to incur major injuries that will take time to heal. It is throughout his recovery that he learns the true meaning of friendship as his pals come to his aid by proving he is appreciated as more than just an assistant. He further comes to learn how having limitations doesn't mean he is any less useful and/or appreciated.

After the catastrophic failure, and subsequent destruction of his spacecraft. Captain Randolph 'Randy' Edwards is crippled, lucky to have lost only his lower legs to the burning thanks to the heroic efforts of Princess Luna. With the relief of all his friends on Equis, now it was only a matter of time before Randy's race followed up on his discoveries. Though instead of flying ships descending on the planet once again. Humanities response came with a simple little ping.
