This story is a sequel to Slender

Equestria is ruined. The Slender One's reach cannot be escaped and now the populations of entire cities have disappeared, vanished without a trace.

Even the princesses have left the ponies to their fate.

Big Macintosh returns to Ponyville with a team of like-minded ponies and one goal in his mind; to stop the evil once and for all.

Princess Luna decides that risking the lives of the Elements of Harmony time and time again is hardly the most sensible or strategic response to the threats Equestria faces, leading her to seek an alternative solution, one which will ensure Equestria's protection in a more efficient manner.

The vagrants and outcasts of Equestria then find themselves presented with a proposition, one which could ensure their futures and prosperity... Assuming they survive the tasks requested of them that is.

Elliot Foster didn't ask for much from life. Go to work, get his paycheck, make it home to his girlfriend each night. Ride up to the slopes and snowboard in winter, maybe one day pay off his student loans.

Unfortunately for Elliot, his life smacked him headfirst into patient zero of a supernatural pandemic. Flu symptoms gave way to something far more disturbing, leaving Elliot's life transformed in a way he never could've imagined.

Elliot Foster will have to decide: does he bow and get crushed by pressures beyond his control, or protect his fellow victims? Without him, none of Earth's new ponies will ever escape the quarantine.

Drake, a mysterious human who arrived in Equestria via a Hell Gate, dies due to unknown causes shortly after his arrival. However, with his death being witnessed by an ominous unicorn who is known for dabbling in the forbidden arts of soul collecting. Drake is revived by having his very soul placed into the body of a recently deceased dragon.

With the transportation having been possibly successful without any symptoms, that he knows of. Drake must now figure out the means of how he had gotten to Equestria, his cause of death, and these strange unknown memories that he keeps witnessing.

While walking by Fluttershy's house one night, Sunset hears what sounds like Rainbow Dash being tortured by a malevolent Fluttershy. When Rainbow Dash doesn't appear the following day, the girls decide to take a look at Fluttershy's house, where they find evidence that makes it appear that Fluttershy is not the gentle, harmless girl they know after all.
