Or at least, that's what they'd claim. Big red buttons are meant to be pushed after all. Especially when there's a "Do Not Push" sign right next to it...

It's Fluttershy's soulmate day. This day just happens to coincide with the escape of the Lord of Chaos, Discord.

Now, she must figure out who her soulmate is and take care of a bad guy at the same time.

Parcel Post, the long-missing mailpony who delivered Discord's ticket to the Gala, staggers into work to explain where he's been. Spoilers for "Make New Friends But Keep Discord", but not serious ones.

Twilight Sparkle has spent months researching chaos magic, developing a new spell to unlock magic nopony has ever experienced before. But when something goes wrong with casting, Twilight finds herself turned into a Draconequus and unable to control her new chaos magic. If she ever wants to be a pony again, there is only one who can help her learn to control her new magic.

Of course, learning from Discord was never going to be simple. And after a while, being a draconequus doesn't seem so bad anyway....

It's been a few weeks since Luna's returned from the moon, and all is not well. She's become more introverted than ever, rarely leaving her room and obsessing over work. Celestia hopes that studying Twilight Sparkle's Friendship Reports will at least help her get out of her shell, though an unusually talkative servant may just help in that regard...and is anypony else getting strange feelings from that statue out in the gardens?

Fluttershy doesn't think so, however, so she sets off to talk to him.

Pinkie Pie has mystified Discord for a long time. How is it that she can regularly break the laws of physics, be everywhere at once, and never run out of energy? In many ways, she reminds him of his own abilities. That gets him thinking about things, and a lightbulb goes off in his head.

This brainstorming gives Discord a rather interesting theory, one he's eager to find out if it's correct. If so, it would delight him to no end. Of course, he has to put his theory to the test, in the way only a draconequus can.

It might be a good idea to pray for Pinkie's safety right about now.

Today is an extra-special day for Discord. One he's been looking forward to all year. Or rather all day, since he had just learned about it previously from Fluttershy. A day that's all about him, all about his needs, his greatness, and how truly awesome he is. A day to feed his ego like the gluttonous pig it is.

Why, it's Discord's birthday of course!
