Twilight finds out something isn't quite right about the crystal castle and herself. When she learns that something has changed about her and she isn't who she thinks she is, she tries to find out why and how that came to pass.
The answers isn't what she expected, but now that she knows, what will she do with that information? Will she change, continue, or end it all?

When Anon-A-Miss struck, Sunset found herself alone. Even her friends have abandoned her. Twilight Sparkle asks her to come to Equestria to avoid Anon-A-Miss and goes to confront her friends. Together, they determine if Sunset is guilty or innocent.

There's only so much failure a changeling can tolerate. For Shade, once was enough. Years of training and preparation in the hopes of achieving a new life for himself and his colony wasted because of the negligence of their leader. It's time to try a different approach; if force won't work, then maybe peace and diplomacy will. What could go wrong?

A chance encounter in a creepy forest; A tree filled to the brim with books; A brief and sudden rain shower. These are all things that will change Shade's life forever.

In the aftermath of the Nightmare's near-victory, Twilight Sparkle struggles with her status as an alicorn and the lingering gulf between herself and her senior Princesses. Love inspires awesome and terrifying things, but the path to harmony and friendship may leave her more broken than before. Beneath it all, a lingering memory refuses to be ignored.

Dusk Shine still lives, and he wanders the wasteland of unfinished stories and forgotten dreams at the bottom of the universe, attempting to put his world back together. The price to remake his home may be greater than he can bear, but one name still guides him: Twilight Sparkle.

Two paths draw close once more, not to run side by side, but meet each other head-on.

Twilight Sparkle realizes that Rainbow Dash has been keeping a secret from her ever since the Mare Do Well incident. When she goes to confront her about it, she finds out more than she bargained for. And then Twilight reveals that she's been keeping something from her friends ever since the Royal Wedding. Now everything is out there; harsh words have been spoken and a once strong friendship hangs in the balance.

A scientist wants to take Spike and study him in hopes of understanding dragons; however, her questionable methods make Spike refuse. The scientist counter-argues that Spike is not a pony and the same rights given to a pony, do not apply to him. A trial is commenced with Twilight as Spike’s defense attorney and Cadence as the unwilling prosecutor; Twilight must prove that Spike does indeed deserve the same rights as any pony. Or else, Spike is a lab rat that she will never see again.

This is a fanfic inspired by a Star Trek: The Next Generation episode The Measure of a Man, directed by Robert Scheerer. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

This tragedy affects everypony in Ponyville, and close friends preparing for the funeral find themselves coming together in ways they never have before, sharing their deepest feelings, their tender memories, and their most delicate secrets. They even agree to take care of Dinky, fostering Derpy's orphaned daughter into a bright and promising future.

It would all be very noble if Derpy were actually dead.

Twilight Sparkle's wildest dreams have just been met, and exceeded. Due to an unexpected magical outburst during her entrance exam to Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, the Solar Princess herself took an interest and took Twilight on as her personal student.

This was a pleasant shock for Twilight and her family. However, a few months later, a less pleasant shock would reach Twilight in the form of Celestia returning to Canterlot with a new daughter, a freshly adopted pegasus filly named Rainbow Dash. As the two get to know each other, Twilight can clearly see something eating at the self absorbed and competitive filly's mind.

To make matters even more confusing, Princess Celestia is now hiding something. Twilight dares not question it, but it is quite clear that Celestia isn't being wholly open with anypony about her decision to adopt some random orphan.

Could the answers have something to do with the cryptic dream Twilight had the night before she met Rainbow Dash?
