The bitter rivalry between Hiesenbridle and El Burro comes to a head in this spastic, many-holds-barred, showdown between the legendary chemists. Meanwhile, can love bloom even on the playing field? If these men's partners survive, maybe we'll find out.

Was originally just a side story to Not Another Anon-a-Miss fic (Being caught up with that fic is not strictly necessary for the enjoyment of this one), but more is already being cooked up to be served in small, conveniently sized baggies!

After the Storm King's invasion of Canterlot, Twilight realizes just how scarce Discord seems to become during any kind of crisis. He would have been a huge help in repelling Tempest and her armada, after all! Seeking answers, Twilight decided it was about time Discord explained himself.

This is Discord, so she should have known it wasn't going to be that simple.

They've found something. Twilight thinks it's a brain of some sort- so they tackle the problem of waking it up, of talking to it. What did its kind look like? What happened to it?
Only problem is, when it turns out to have a ferocious appetite for lightning, she can't keep up. Then, of course, it's also the first time Twilight has ever tried talking to a brain without the head it was installed in- so they can't talk, only see, really. But what images does this strange mind produce? What do they mean?
And more importantly, how can she introduce it to society- as a friend?

Time. It marches on, regardless of your feelings, hopes and dreams, for it is the cruelest force of nature. The most unstable thing that can be tinkered with by mages. One wrong slip and the world you know is destroyed from the butterfly effect. It is a dangerous tool and one that few even see the effects of, let alone use for their own plans.

Starlight Glimmer is one of those exceptions, having used time magic in order to nearly end Equestria. It was averted by the heroic efforts of Twilight Sparkle.

There's a catch, though. You see, sweeping changes in the timeline don't go unnoticed, as several chronomancers watch over the timeline, carefully ensuring that nobody changes it without them noticing.

One of these, a gnome named Toki, travels to Equestria to tear the time tinkerer a new one.
