Joshua's day gets turned upside down on what should be a regular day, one moment he was walking through his town on a stormy day, and the next he's waking up in a strange world full of friendship and colorful magic talking ponies.

Things only get worse from there when he finds he's not even in his own body anymore, instead he finds himself in the body of a female chimera, and two people who he knows far to well sharing his new body.

A wizard from thousands of years ago, around when Nightmare Moon battled to take over Equestria, got caught up in the fight between the two. He tried to stop the sisters from fighting, but got badly wounded. He tried desperately to heal himself, but due to the injuries, he messed up the spell, and was engulfed in darkness. What happens next is within this story!

Sunset paused on the high balcony of Princess Twilight’s empty tower, catching her breath after all those stairs. Everypony was away setting up the Friendship Festival; the journal had been buzzing almost constantly with Twilight’s hastily scribbled one-line updates, ecstatic and anxious—until a couple of hours ago. The longer the sudden silence lasted, the more concerned Sunset became, until she hopped through the portal to see what was up. Her alicorn glowed as she fiddled Twi’s telescope into position for a look at the distant city clinging to the mountainside.

After watching the 14th episode of Season 6, I decided to write up my own adaptation of the episode, giving it my own take on what I believe could've happened.

It's time for the annual Applewood Derby Cart race in Ponyville, and every team is working hard to make sure they win a prize, but to also have a fun time while doing so. But one pegasus' desire to win could lead her and her young partner into trouble.
