With those words, Twilight Sparkle accidentally teleported herself, Spike, the rest of her friends, and the elements of Harmony into another world. Trapped as they were for a thousand years, they made do; mingling with the natives, accepting their new-found longevity, and coping with the separation from their home world.

It's been a long ride, not without its bumps. But now, at last, the spell is winding down. The seven of them have gathered in their mansion to say farewell to their new friends and family. And even as the tears are shed and goodbyes made, some part of them is looking forward to returning to Equestria. It's true that everypony they knew is probably long dead (aside from the princesses,) but it's still their home.

There have probably been a number of changes, of course. But it can't be that bad... right?

Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, sole ruler of the well-renowned Crystal Empire, grows increasingly weary from the burdens of taking care of a traditional kingdom alone. The life of a reformed villain is a tough one. It's difficult to find friends who share the mindset of "I wanted to destroy/enslave the world!" due to the peaceful nature of Equestrians.

For such former megalomaniacs, there lies a little-known place called "The Salt Lick", where once a week, if you were evil enough to be a credible threat to Equestria, the barkeep will give you a discount in a night coined as "Villian's Night."

For one such unicorn, her time to discover this haven of enemies turned friends is today.

It's been a few years since Spike and Thorax both became a couple. Ever since their confession to each other at the Crystal Empire, things just blasted off. However, after Thorax finds a lost egg near the Everfree Forest, things start taking a turn for...well.. who knows?
