I don't know what it is about this story but I just can't get enough.

So I really like fanfics. However, I have dyslexia and am also very busy so I like to listen to fanfics on Youtube as it is just easier. I typically prefer HiE fics however I can't seem to find to many new ones on Youtube as I have been listening to them for a while, anyone got any to recommend?
So, I wasted what probably amounted to too much time this weekend playing Super Mario Maker. I don't understand how that title somehow isn't among the currently-being-played games on the system menu. It's a super in-depth level editor. For Mario platformers. It's both enjoyable to both play and create levels. Hell, even IGN gave the game a 9/10. The problem is that everyone is a scrub and isn't putting nearly as much effort into level design as I am. So go make some, and shoot me
Per the blog title, I'm signal-boosting a friend's story. I left a long, essay-style comment on the fic itself, but to sum up the strongest aspect: EqG Apple Bloom and pony Big Macintosh prove that certain bonds transcend dimensions.
Give it a read if you enjoy wholesome, slice-of-life stories stuffed with characters. The human CMC have good group rapport, and pony Big Mac is endearingly stoic.
It occurs to me that I need to start practicing other forms of writing, such as story or fic reviews. After all, I am a graduate student now, only reasonable that I start exploring some other career opportunities.
Well, it's safe to say that my first use of the auto-approve system went well. I certainly wasn't expecting Rerouted to be featured. It was very interesting to see that even before it hit the featured box, it got more votes and views in under 24 hours than One Day I Found a Multiverse in My Pajamas got over the course of a week. I suppose when writing an AU adventure sequel with Best Pony and spacetime shenanigans, it helps if she's actually a pony. Also,
I'm breaking my silence¹ for a personal recommendation. Not of a story but of an entire person. A bit unorthodox, but there you go.

1. Technically, I'll be breaking my silence shortly for a commissioned blog post, as well.
Been a bit since I've done one of these (previous blog here) and since the drama has been resolved and I've said my piece on Anon, it's time to finally bring this back to put some positivity back on the site.
Today's little binge is going to be a mix-mash of several genres.
I have been thinking about getting into Anime but I don't want to watch one that is sexaul or overly violent ( a little action is fine though) or graphic ( like blood and gore).
Any recommendations?
Thanks
Not an emergency announcement, since these are both already featured. Both were written for Scribblefest, Everfree Northwest's competition, which I didn't enter for some reason despite having about a dozen 90% finished but unpublished stories.
Nova Quill has put down the digital pen for a moment and picked up the digital typewriter... or something. She's writing a collection of Dazzling shorts called Putting the Fun Back in Dysfunctional.
If your a fan of my Dazzling stuff, I highly recommend checking her story out. Plenty of the girl's weirdness awaits!
You know what I miss?
Taking a story idea and exploring it, seeing what comes to me and just where the characters go. I have a notebook of potentials for Adagio for a Sunset, but no idea how to get those ideas to progress. I am an untrained writer, a hobbiest at best and my story escaped the scope of my abilities. I want to revisit that particular story, hell I want to revisit several of my stories, almost all of which no one has been privy to since I never got them out of my head.
You may have noticed that I like music a lot by the fact that I link music at the end of every act in my stories. It's my biggest love after writing, and I want to recommend a band that I've actually recommended here before, but which just released their debut album today. Stock Photo is an alternative/indie rock band that I find most reminiscent of Manchester Orchestra, but whom should also appeal to fans of Frightened Rabbit,
Hello again, folks. Today we have a couple of stories that looked promising; one that reminded me of a story I myself wrote back in 2016 (one of the most popular ones, too!), and a short story that I actually spent a good long time having to think about, as the things I ended up finding interesting about the story took a few rereads to sink in.
Let's see how they did!
Cool things I've read recently, FSVO "recently" that means "tabs still open in my latest browser window":
So about two to three weeks ago I started working together with another user, VIRAnimation, on a collaboration project. I've linked the story on my user page under a collaboration section, but I just realized that I totally forgot to blog about it to you guys!
