Album of the Year 2016 · 5:03am Apr 9th, 2016

What will it be?
It could be David Bowie's "Black Star"
The upcoming Tool album.
The upcoming Guns N Roses comeback album.
Deftones "Gore" (An album I just purchased today, it is by far the best album from Deftones in a long time)
The upcoming Radioed album
The upcoming Pearl Jam album.

I don't know yet. It could be any of them. What do you all think?

Release of my first Album, and announcement of my new EP · 4:28pm Aug 15th, 2015

Hey guys! I don't think I ever let any of you here know exactly about the other things I am doing outside of... well, this!

One of the many "side-projects" I have going is music. I love to create music, and I usually spend a good hour or so a day just banging out new tunes on my piano. I have had an album in the works for over a year now, and I am happy to announce that it is finally finished, and will be released soon! (Look for a follow up post titled "Modular Physics Release!").

Now That's What I Call 190 · 8:37pm January 2nd

Remember when I said I was going to do some music blogging? I meant it. I'll just post a single song. We'll start off with one rather pertinent to something you'll be seeing this year. :raritywink:

If you've followed me long enough, that album art might be familiar. Mainly because the songs from Yellow House served as the tonal inspiration for SSLY and everything after it.

Metallica's new album · 5:37am Jan 18th, 2017

Now I'm sure there is some metal heads like me out on this site.

Who really enjoyed the new album by Metallica? Hard-wired.... to self destruct.

I probably rated it about 8.9 out of 10. It was that good.

For me all the songs were equally very good, no matter how long or short they were.

The several songs I really enjoyed the most are (from favourite downwards)

Arista album discography: 1977-83 · 3:29pm Oct 17th, 2016

Arista album discography: 1976-78 · 7:19pm Oct 16th, 2016

Arista's open to the rest of 1976 was with one of its biggest coups: the signage of Lou Reed. Reed had earlier put out a string of successful albums for RCA . . . that is, until 1975, which saw the debut of Metal Machine Music, a critically savaged (and less than healthy) mixture of industrial music, noise rock, and contemporary sound art that RCA (according to some sources) returned to stores by the thousands after a few weeks. Though his next album, Coney Island

Arista album discography: The '90s! · 11:38am Oct 18th, 2016

Somewhat hidden in the year laden with scandal involving Milli Vanilli is the fact of another meeting involving Clive Davis: that which was made in Atlanta between him and the duo of Antonio "L.A." Reid & Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. The result, LaFace Records, had enough of a history that I will cover it sometime in the future (it helps that their releases didn't appear under Arista's normal numbering system).

Arista album discography: 1978-81 · 1:20am Oct 17th, 2016

In 1977, Melissa Manchester recorded an album titled Singin'..., featuring a cover of Michael Jackson's 1972 hit ''I Wanna Be Where You Are''. Its songwriter Leon Ware heard the cut and subsequently expressed interest in producing the singer. He went right to work on her, producing what was intended as the singer's 1978 album release - which Manchester planned to name Caravan - all original material except "Bad Weather", a Stevie Wonder composition
