To The Moon (The Mare Who Once Lived On The Moon, by MrNumbers) · 8:10pm Nov 28th, 2016

Song: To The Moon
Lead singers: Twilight Sparkle
(Background singers: Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy)

Song starts at 1:10

They don’t know, if they could see how much I love you
How much better the world’ be if you were here
I am true, I’m serious about my love, mare
It’s real, mare, don’t forget that, mare

And I can, just by your writing I can tell that
That your soul is so stunningly beautiful

Share A Smile - A Thank-You to Three People · 10:04pm Sep 11th, 2017

So Crystal Wishes did something wonderful yesterday, and I'd like to join in by thanking three specific people that I've gotten to know over the course of the past few months. All three have helped create and lead communities that I am proud to be part of, and I would like to acknowledge their efforts as leaders as well as to thank them for being the wonderful people

Why Fantasy Is Not Reality · 9:51pm Jan 22nd, 2019

This post has been delayed by depression, but it's important. I need to weigh in on the controversy MrNumbers gestated.

Fun in fantasy; horrifying in reality.

First, the history.

Ponyfeather Publishing Release: MrNumbers's The Mare Who Once Lived on the Moon · 3:54am Nov 24th, 2021

I think a lot of folks have been waiting for a print of this story (and indeed, this is not its only print -- but more on that later). It's certainly been on my shortlist since I first started Ponyfeather Publishing, and I'm very glad to have finally gotten the opportunity to give it the treatment it deserves.

WWBP: Sacrifice · 9:47am Oct 4th, 2017

So there was a competition called "Rarity is Trash" and it gave you five thousand words to refute the statement. Obviously I took umbrage to that, so I swore a lot and mashed a keyboard for three weeks to quadruple that word limit and write "The Price of Happily Ever After".

It's not getting many comments, but the reception seems to be pretty positive, so I guess I'll talk about some important themes writing it. Spoilers, obviously, after this line.

MrNumbers could use some support · 9:55pm Sep 15th, 2021

I'm not dead, just surviving the pandemic like all of us are right now.

Anyways, MrNumbers of exceptional writing fame could really use a hand right now. Dental stuff sucks, especially when it's deemed a luxury (contrary to reality)

WWBP: MrNumbers gets political and shit. Bitch Eating Crackers Syndrome. · 6:20pm Nov 7th, 2017

Hey.

I'm Australian, so I guess I don't have much of a right to talk about American politics. But where you lead, we follow -- I'll get back to this at the end. We're the international equivalent of adoring fanboys. Well, we were, right up until about 2004. Something special and precious was lost when we watched you re-elect George W Bush.

Boy, glad nothing that stupid happened again, right?

Sadness isn't Sad; A Short Treatise · 5:46pm Oct 9th, 2017

Of course, it's sad to be sad. Don't get me wrong. What I mean when I say this is; Your protagonist being sad doesn't make a story about sadness, nor should you expect your audience to empathize with that.

Everyone gets sad, obviously. We can relate to a characters' sadness and feel it as our own, when well written. This should serve as a quick guide to common pitfalls and how/why to avoid them.

A Sugar and Spice Retrospective, And Also a Tea Recipe · 10:00pm Aug 9th, 2018

In 5 or so years of writing, Sugar and Spice is both the longest and probably the best story I've managed to finish so far. If nothing else, it's absolutely a story that has the most things I like about it, which is particularly weird given that it's just... not the sort of story I tend to write. Side-character, non-Princess romance? OCs? Comedy?!

I know. I must have fallen ill, or something.
