Ponyfeather Publishing Release: MrNumbers's The Mare Who Once Lived on the Moon · 3:54am Nov 24th, 2021
I think a lot of folks have been waiting for a print of this story (and indeed, this is not its only print -- but more on that later). It's certainly been on my shortlist since I first started Ponyfeather Publishing, and I'm very glad to have finally gotten the opportunity to give it the treatment it deserves.
For the past few years, MrNumbers has been well aware I desired to publish The Mare Who Once Lived on the Moon, a.k.a. "Moonfic," but for one reason or another he had been reluctant to go through with it, which of course I respected. I assumed it would never be printed and had moved on with my life; the matter seemed comfortably settled. So imagine my surprise when I wake up one morning to a PM from a Russian print enthusiast explaining that he'd reached out to MrNumbers for permission to print it in Russian and MrNumbers had directed him to me as its English publisher and did I think we should coordinate our design efforts or should he go ahead and design his own book?
Needless to say I went to have a chat with MrNumbers, and fast forward about six months and we have a Ponyfeather Publishing edition of Moonfic.
Featuring cover artwork by the absolutely wonderful Harwick, The Mare Who Once Lived on the Moon is available here in both paperback and hardback -- although you might not want to buy it just yet.
Firstly, Lulu usually does a decent discount on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, just days away! I'd definitely recommend waiting to see what kind of deal they offer this year before doing your PFP print shopping.
Secondly, though the Russian-language print edition I mentioned earlier was a very limited run that has come and gone, another Russian group I'm sure you all know is gearing up to do their own run of Moonfic in English -- Ministry of Image plans to release an edition of TMWOLotM early next year, with cover art by Ramiras. If you like the sound of that, you might want to hold off and check theirs out instead.

Haha, thank you! I hope you let your friends who were interested in an English-language print know (though of course they may want to wait for MoI's).
Yup, bought this one (hardcover) plus some other pony books on Lulu this year in the Black Friday weekend. And knowing me, I'll get the MoI version as well...
