It’s been quite a ride since the first draft. The idea for this story is what brought me to this site. It’s been over 6 years ago when the first chapter was published. Much paper was spent on this story from then to now to make the story what it is today:
(this is an actual picture of some of my notes for this novel)
Despite grad school and a significant mental block, last night I hit 50,000 words in this year's NaNo story. It is nowhere near done and has sections missing (because I was trying to get around the block), but I completed the challenge. 2 for 2, two years in a row.
I've been trying to locate a Star Trek crossover story that focuses upon the crew of the USS Enterprise-D ending up in the reality of Equestria thanks to Q's (Discord's) machinations, but the whole matter isn't an issue regarding Discord (this was written before Keep Calm & Flutter On was broadcast). I'm sure I favourited it at one point but I can't seem to find it in my Bookshelves and either I can't get the hang of navigating fimfetch or it's not on there.
Enjoy the final chapter!
I'm happy for what happened today in USA, finally a little more close to equality. And the club can't even hold us anymore!
That's right, the rewrite of Crystalline is now complete! You can find it here! Thanks for the features, the upvotes, and the comments. There's plenty of author's notes and other whatsits there. Because this story is the gateway into where I'm going with future horse trash nice stories, it would be the best place to start in this whole mess of lore I've got going here.
Thanks for reading!
I wrapped up the last chapter almost 2 weeks ago. However, editing is really, really annoying work, plus my editors are suuuuper busy with real life, so I still won't be able to dump the chapters on you weekly.
I'm sorry, I wish I could. Still, be assured, Void Trials will be completed, it will not join the myriads of stories that were given up on.
PS: Next chapter goes up tomorrow. It's fairly short for my standards. after that we'll be going into the finale though
Not sure if I like the new Techno Syndrome, but hey, new generation, new tunes. I'm gonna try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, folks.
I know, a late release for the last Chapter. But Book 3 will be finished this Tuesday! And then, Book 4 will be released on or by the 28th. I might get impatient and release it soon after Book 3 is complete.
And we're done! I plan on posting a more in-depth post completion blog this weekend but wanted to say that we're so happy to have finished this project. It was a labor for sure but very rewarding.
More thoughts to come later but for now, enjoy the ending!
...I actually finished another story. That's it. That's all, folks. If you were waiting for Sunset Shimmer's latest adventures to wrap up, here ya go. 11k words of more poem-y things.
Now back to other stories.
I've actually got some good(ish) news to share.
All the stories in the Enforcerverse are now completed with chapter 40 of The Enforcer and Her Blackmailers (Starlight and the Persistent Princess). And
I've finally completed a near decade long story. It's posted under The Wyld Stallynz as it was a collaboration work between Magical Trevor and myself. Further details can be found at the The Wyld Stallynz blog.
And it's my first Mature story ever (for safety reasons of course)!
See?
I can write Mature and Romance.
I just don't because my heart is very dark since my mind had those thoughts but my promise is to write with my heart of course.
Which means that yes, I still technically haven't broken my word.
And I don't plan to either.
Anyhow please comment somewhere if you like it.
Also just in case you don't get the title let me explain.
Initially, I liked Veneer (my recent story) just fine as a minific. Several readers have found it missing something, however, and after pulling my head out of my pedantic rear, I'm starting to see what they mean.
PSA for those of you who like to wait until stories are complete before diving in. The Road Home is now complete at 15 chapters and ~99.5K words. It is a story that got so much longer than anticipated, but in the end I feel that was for it's benefit. In any case, I hope those of you that have been waiting will enjoy the story, and that those of you that have been reading along will find the ending up to the standards set by
I've been shot with a glancing blow from the Hasbro canon. I need to cancel my plans to extend Veneer and mark it Complete again. (Episode thoughts follow.)
More to come when I'm not so giddy.
