Took a While To Post, But I'm Still Here! · 6:22am Aug 24th, 2022
I've actually got some good(ish) news to share.
Managed to actually complete a chapter to one of my stories and have started work on the next one of said story! No joke. I don't know what is possessing me to do this (maybe it's the constant ambient "Silent Hill-esque" tracks i've been playing to help me concentrate). That said, while I HAVE started work on it, I've felt I hit a slight roadblock on its process. I'll see what I can do to get it running smoothly, but there's no guarantee on if and when that will happen.
I've also started work on a chapter for "Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children". It's finally time to let Mantis take the stage after the rest have had their initial debut in the anthology. After that one is done, I'll be free to pick and choose whichever chapter idea I want to do, fully succumbing to my whims at the moment. At least, that's how I hope it'll end up happening.
Aside from that, I've been trying to get back into drawing again. I think I may need to take a day to do a practice session and just doodle without any structure. Just so I can get a feel for form and depth again. Despite the rust, I think I finished the linework of one image of a lengthy project I hope to get done by the end of the year. It's honestly been a LOOOONG time coming, and I really, REALLY want to get it finished by a certain 10th anniversary for me. To those of you who have been with me long enough, you might know what I'm talking about.
Anyway, aside from procrastinatingplaying with Elden Ring, as well as a few other titles that have (re)gripped me, that's all that's happening on my end. August is coming to an end, and things are looking up. I just hope the weather cools down a bit so I can heat up in my efforts without getting burnt.

Yeah, but I also don't wanna disappoint myself any further. I've been putting off a lot of things for far too long at this point. And besides, there's a difference between delaying something while still diligently working on it, and being a lazy, procrastinating numbfuck like me who pokes at the work a little, making a sentence or two of progress, and then leaves it at that for weeks on end.
