So, this will most likely be my last blog for a while.
So, this will most likely be my last blog for a while.
Hi all,
I hope that I've been sating your desire for content these past few months. Lately, I've settled into a bit better of a rhythm with regard to getting chapters written, which has really helped progress on Society. However, I have one major announcement about upcoming work, which is going to have repercussions on this project, some good and some bad.
Completely forgot about entering in for the writing month again this year. Had thought about it last year, but it was too late when I realized I actually could write a lot in a short period of time. This month I was distracted by my job laying me off, so again didn't enter in.
Anyway, figured it doesn't hurt to keep a personal count:
Week 1 of November: 16,460 words on the week.
Week 2 of November: 21,142 words on the week
Well, it's nearly that time of year again.
I plan on finishing one or more of my stories with NaNoWriMo! No new projects! If I have an idea, I'll just jot the idea down for later! Finish what I have!
That will work... Right?
Right?
... Eh, it'll be fine.
I wish to extend my deepest apologies. Starting on November first, 13 days from now, I will be embarking upon a massive challenge. I am going to to give NaNoWriMo a go. I have a story idea, I’ve had it for some time. I’m going to be spending part of the next two weeks doing planning. Come Nov. 1, I will be writing every day.
This is the first I’ve heard of National Novel Writing Month. I’m interested in doing it.
‘Cause why not?
I think you should write one about me.
Me says I.
No. I don’t think I’ll write anything about any of them. . .
I was thinking something along the lines of a HiE story crossover with D&D elements and characters. . .
Hey! Next month is National Novel Writing month and I have decided that this year, yours truly is participating. I think all you fellow writers should sign up too! You can even write fan fiction through NaNoWriMo! It's a great way to get to know other writers in your area. There are even events like, breakfast write in's where you can meet some place with other participants year round and just work on your novels together, ask for suggestions and just chat!
For those who don't know, NaNoWriMo is a self challenge to write a 50k word novel in the month of November. We have 1 week until the first, and I'm so excited. If you haven't heard of it, you should definitely check it out.
If you are already are/ or are planning to do it, and want a new writing buddy just let me know.
....sorta....
One the one hand I hit the required word count, but on the other, the story is not done yet
But I know where is going, it's getting there that's proving to be difficult. I'll keep going just so I can wrap it up and then focus on other things for a while, but this story won't be seeing the light of day in January like I hoped, I might have to push it to March., maybe later.
I’ve been thinking. (Experienced readers are already ducking for cover.) Everybody knows about November being National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) where you pledge to write something every day with a goal of (insert optimistic number here) words at the end of the month. Well, that’s fine for people with incentive and drive and all those other things I don’t have, but what about procrastinators (like me) who spend most of November doing very little on most
With about 4 minutes to spare, I have finished NaNoWriMo 2020 at a whopping 50,050 words written over the course of the month. I literally spent every day of this month writing something, and though my intention was to work on my story, Make Love, Not War, I know my creativity too well. That's why the NaNo project was called "Make Love, Not War (and other stories)." Now here's a rundown of what stories I worked on, and
Fast as lightning, sharp as a sword
I have accomplished my goal! I have completed 50,000 words of my novel for NaNoWriMo!
So week one of NanoWriMo (well almost)
I managed to finished the prologue and the first chapter of the story which culminated in a grand total of 10,000 words. I'm having a lot of fun with it I have to admit this actually doesn't feel like a job for me. There has been a bit of a change of plans though with what I am doing.
I'm a winner! NaNoWriMo says so, anyway.
Well hello, internet!
I suppose this is my impromptu writing blog, because ... well, I dunno where else I'd put it. My friends on Facebook would probably just skim over it, and I figure I've got a built in 'fanbase' here. For, all, like, seven of you reading this. But still!
Guys I’m insanely behind on everything that isn’t To Serve In Hell at this point (PMs/feed/Writeoff/Flashfic/etc), but that at least is still flowing at a good rate. I’m definitely on-target to write 50,000 words of it this month. I’m less sure if that’ll be the true “end” but it should be close. Thanksgiving is going to be the monkey wrench it always is, but I feel like I’m over the hump and the homestretch is in sight.
