It's been almost a decade since the Battle of the Bands and Sunset Shimmer has been trying to clean up the mess she made. After series of unrelated crimes, Sunset, now known as The Phoenix, may need to finally ask for help.

Starswirl was the last unicorn to have studied the magic of other worlds. That was over a millenia ago, and still no one had even thought of using magic in another world. At least, no one until Sunset crossed the portal. Disobeying her teacher, she had taken magic to the new world, and found it altered. After being reformed, she tried to understand the world's native magic, but failed. She found it was different. Perhaps she just needed a focal point, and what better focal point than Equestrian magic?

However, not long after the primary test, Sunset discovers that one of her friend’s pasts has been altered, and all memory of them erased. Only she notices anything is wrong and has enough knowledge of both worlds to save her friends.

Now history requires an Editor, and Sunset will have to step up if she is to save her friends.

She ended up in the city's scrapyard, trying to make a living among the iron and rust that is her home now. Trixie pass her nights looking up in the sky, hoping for a better day to come.

When Manehattan gets hit by the evils of the past, Trixie's life will change forever and ponies will remember that there's a reason to look up in the sky.

Sunset Shimmer is well respected, and has gained a lot of trust over the past year. So when Princess Twilight entrusted her with watching over her one and only niece, she was thrilled.

But one slip of the tongue around the toddler could break that trust.

The Friendship Games are tomorrow, and Sonata Dusk couldn't be more excited. However, the same cannot be said for Adagio Dazzle. Even after all these months, she still feels bitter about the Battle of the Bands. What's more, her fellow Sirens have befriended the Rainbooms, and she feels as though they don't respect her anymore. While nothing could be farther from the truth, proving it might be a bit tricky.

Luckily, Discord just happens to be in the area, and he's willing to help the Sirens out. The only question is, are the girls going to like it?

Considering that Discord is reaching into his old playbook for this one, probably not.

Her adventure will lead to her having to repeatedly outwit a resident of the Everfree and bring her to posses a gift that she never would have imagined.
