An idea that I got while watching S5 finale.

It has been nearly two hundred years since the megaspells rained fire down on the world, reducing it to a tainted wasteland. The ponies of Equestria get on by, but only just.

A lucky few survived in great underground shelters, the stables. Among these is the lost, and almost mythical, Stable 84. It was said that the stable in question was home to not ponies, but creatures who could change their faces with but a thought.

But that was just a myth, there was no way that the Equestrian Hive was real. Right?

(Be warned, spoilers for Fallout Equestria, Project Horizons and Pink Eyes may occur.)

Fluttershy awakes to find herself in a strange mansion, with no memories at all. After a bit of exploring, she eventually remembers her name, however, she also finds a note, which forces her to descend deeper into the mansion if she ever wants to escape.

In a freak accident from the Cloudsdale weather control team, Twilight is struck down by an errant lightning bolt. But the veil of death is relatively thin...

Bon-Bon never asked to be a monster-killing secret warrior of the night. It's a lonely life in which she cannot afford to get close to ponies. After previous losses took their toll, she has closed off her heart and dedicated herself to never letting herself love anypony ever again.

Then she is sent to Ponyville.

Then Twilight Sparkle is sent there too.

Then Princess Luna returns from the moon.

Not to mention that darn unicorn neighbour Lyra won’t leave her alone.

And suddenly everything becomes much more complicated.

Flitter doesn't like most ponies. There's hardly anything in the world Flitter likes, very few which she can even remotely tolerate, and only a couple which she truly loves. Fluttershy is not in the last two categories. Flitter sees Fluttershy as weak, and weakness disgusts her.

But when you're trying to help someone you love, you'll look for help in a lot of places -- including the cottage of the weakest pony in the world.

And for those willing to listen past their pain, it might be the place where they start to learn what true strength is.

(This story takes place about five moons before Triptych and well after On The Application...)

Alice Maximilion is a scientist by day and the Phantom Thief Fox by night. However, after Arceus transferred all of the Pokemon as well as some of the humans over to Equestria, she lost her day job. Since then, she's been busy putting corrupt ponies in their places as well as trying to meet up with her childhood friend, Johnathan. However, with more down time than she's used to, she may be forced to confront some feelings she never really knew she had.

Johnathan Trace is a police officer dedicated to catching the Phantom Thief Fox. Even after being thrown into a different world, he is still pursuing that goal. Chasing down a thief who has over 500 years of knowledge is not an easy task, but he's the only one who's gotten close. However, they say opposites attract, and some of the actions by Fox have left him confused to say the least. At least he finally found out his best friend Alice was sent to Equestria as well.

With both of them taking a necessary break after a busy month, Alice begins to confront her feelings, but will her double life as both his best friend and worst enemy get in the way of what she wants?

Not if the Phantom Thief Fox has anything to say about it.

This story is a non-canon spinoff to tdnpony's A New World, A New Stage, which itself is a spinoff to zeusdemigod131's A New World, A New Way. You will definitely want to read the former if you want to have any idea what's happening, while the latter includes some key worldbuilding. The whole A New World universe is filled with fabulous stories that you should check out. If you like Pokemon, like crossovers, or just like some of the best writers on the site, then you should check it out.

Written as several chapters because that's how I roll. I probably will publish chapters every day until I publish them all. Once I do, this story will likely never be touched again, unless I get enough popularity to continue.

Bitter, unemployed and penniless, Lightning Dust couldn't go one block without being whispered about until she reached Manehattan. Her last chance comes in the form of an advertisement looking for speedy delivery ponies.

But what will happen when her trial run involves facing her demons?

Twilight Sparkle, Element of Magic, Hero of Equestria and first casualty in the Changeling war. When she passed she became the rallying cry for the Equestrians in the short lived war. When Chrysalis attempts a surprise attack on Canterlot a mysterious figure in armor appears and slays Chrysalis in front of the princesses. Now it's time they learn that anyone can change.
