Super 17 stood with the Mane 6, and Princess Celestia. He has just beaten the living hell out of Discord, without even using a slight bit of his powers. Discord was also much weaker than the villains in hell. But Discord eventually started his reformation anyway, due to Fluttershy protecting him from being killed by Super 17. And now Princess Celestia has finished her memory spell. The Mane 6 were surprised, while Super 17 was a little skeptical.
"Memory spell? What do you mean?" Super 17 asked in confusion. The ponies has never mentioned a memory spell for him.
"Right, i'm sorry for not telling you." Celestia apologized to the confused android. "But we need to see your memories. In order to find out if you're a truly trustworthy."
"But Princess Celestia." Rainbow Dash protested. "Why don't we just ask Super 17 more about his past? He has stayed here for quite some time."
"I agree with Dashie. Super 17 is not a big meanie pants." Pinkie said in agreement. "Right?"
Princess Celestia nodded to her subjects in acknowledgement. "I understand your concern for him my little ponies." Princess Celestia nodded. "What about you Super 17? Do you want to tell us your past? Or do you want us to see them ourselves?" Celestia asked with a warm voice. Super 17 was in his thoughts. He could tell them, but they would probably be too complicated to describe. Not to mention that the ponies would hardly believe it.
"Very well Princess. You can all see my memories." Super 17 nodded, much to the Mane 6's surprise.
"Really? You accept so quickly?" Twilight asked in surprise.
"Yeah. My past is very complicated. So it's better showing you, than telling it." Super 17 explained. The ponies were surprised at Super 17's explanation.
"Complicated? Why is your story complicated?" Rarity asked.
"Like i said, it's better showing than telling you." Super 17 replied to her. Celestia nodded to him in acknowledgement.
"Then we shall prepare the memory spell. Please follow me." Princess Celestia requested. Princess Celestia then walked away, with the ponies and Super 17 following.
"Super 17 must have had a harsh past. Maybe that's why he doesn't want to share it much until now." Fluttershy thought in concern for him.
The ponies and the android arrived to the town hall, where they saw Princess Luna standing on the center.
"GREETINGS SISTER, ELEMENTS OF HARMONY, AND SUPER 17!" Princess Luna greeted them with her royal canterlot voice. The ponies except Princess Celestia almost lost their balance, along with Applejack's hat flying off, due to Luna's loud greeting.
"Apologies my little ponies. We really have a habit of using our royal canterlot voice." Princess Luna apologized while slightly blushing in embarrassment.
"It's alright Luna." Applejack replied, while placing her hat back on her head.
"Luna my dear sister. Did you remember to ask the ponies, to please not disturb us?" Princess Celestia asked her sister, with Luna nodded to her.
"We have. Just like i asked them, for us to use the town's hall." She said. Princess Celestia smiled to her sister. Princess Luna then glanced at Super 17.
"So Super 17. Thou has agreed to let us see your backstory?" She asked him.
"Yeah. My story can be too difficult to describe by myself. And i can't show you a vision about it either." Super 17 replied.
"So Princess Celestia. How will you perform the spell?" Twilight asked her mentor.
"First my faithful student, i will create a magical ring on the center." Celestia said, while charging her horn. On the town hall's floor a white large circle appeared in the center.
"Super 17. Please stand on the center of the magical ring." Princess Celestia requested Super 17.
"Fine." Super 17 simply replied. He walked over to the ring, until he now stood inside and in the center of the ring. "Now what?"
"Now me, my sister, and my little ponies will circle around the ring." She said. Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and the Mane 6 walked to the ring, and surrounded Super 17. "Now everypony who now stands close to the magical ring, can enter with the spell."
"Nice thinking Princess Celestia." Twilight complimented her mentor. "Wow, when you plan ahead, you really plan ahead."
"Thank you Twilight. Now, let the memory spell begin." Princess Celestia informed. Her horn along with Luna's began to glow, and a white light began to surround everyone close to the ring.
"This is gonna be awesome. I bet Super 17 must have had an awesome background." Rainbow Dash thought in excitement, before being engulfed by the white magical light. After the light ended, all the ponies along with Super 17 is surrounded by a white magical aura, while floating in the air.
The Mane 6 and the princesses open their eyes, and saw their whereabouts. They appeared to be in some sort of void, like it was always night outside.
"Where are we Princess Celestia?" Twilight asked her mentor.
"It appears to be Super 17's mind." Princess Celestia replied.
"That's strange. When i enter other ponies dreams, their minds never looked like a giant void." Princess Luna said suspiciously.
"And speaking of Super 17. Where is he?" Rainbow Dash asked. The ponies looked around, and saw that Super 17 was nowhere to be found around there.
"We're inside his mind remember?" Princess Celestia reminded them. "When somepony enters other ponies minds, the host won't appear right beside us."
"I'm afraid to say how wrong you are your majesty." A familiar voice said. The ponies jumped up in surprise, and saw Super 17 appear right in front of them, like he has just teleported there or something.
"Super 17?! How did you just appear? Usually the host's consciousness will only be asleep when we enter other ponies minds." Princess Celestia said in surprise.
"One of the reasons is due to not being a pony. And second is that i have many powers beyond what you seem to know." Super 17 responded. The ponies were surprised at his many surprising abilities. "But at least you will have a guide when you travel around my memories."
"That's a good point." Pinkie Pie cheerfully said.
"Really? That doesn't sound like a bad idea." Twilight said with a smile.
"Sounds great." Rainbow Dash cheered.
"Well ay reckon that can work just fine." Applejack nodded.
"Me... Too." Fluttershy shyly muttered.
"Well a guide sounds like a marvelous suggestion darling." Rarity said while showing off her mane as usual.
"Good. But i must warn you, that my memories can be a little shocking for you." Super 17 warned them. That made the ponies slightly confused at his warning.
"Shocking? How shocking is your memories for you?" Princess Luna asked him.
"No spoilers princess." Super 17 grinned at her.
"Yup Lulu. No spoilers." Pinkie Pie added. Then Super 17 made a portal appear in front of them. The ponies doesn't look much surprised, due to it being his memories, and he had complete control over it.
"This portal will show you my first memories." Super 17 said. The ponies nodded in acknowledgement towards him, and walked inside the portal.
The ponies appeared in some sort of street in the middle of afternoon. With many mysterious poles that shower light out, many buildings around the area that easily rivals Manehatten's, and many creatures walking around that looks like Super 17.
"What is this place?" Twilight thought to herself. "Those mysterious creatures around here. They must be Super 17's species." Then they saw a creature walking towards them.
"Hey! Can't you see that some creatures stands right in front of..." Rainbow Dash yelled to it, but to her surprise, the creature passed through her, like the creature was some sort of ghost. "Okay, that was just creepy."
"We're inside Super 17's memories remember?" Applejack reminded her rainbow maned friend. "Everything ain't real."
"Isn't real? How is that possible?"
"Because Rainbow Dash. What we see is something that has already happened. And that's something we can't change." Princess Celestia reminded her. Rainbow Dash then blushed in embarrassment while giving a bashful smile.
"Oh right. I totally knew that."
"Sure ya were." Applejack grinned at her. But then they heard a voice nearby.
"Hey Lapis! Come on, were late for our appointment!" A feminine voice yelled. The ponies looked, and saw a woman with shoulder-length blonde hair, blue eyes , and wears golden hoop earrings. She wore a blue denim vest and skirt, with dark blue tights, a brown belt, brown boots, and a black shirt that has white and black striped long sleeves in both ears, yelling towards someone named Lapis.
"Chill out Lazuli. I was just having a little fun." A familiar voice chuckled. A boy around her height ran over to her. The ponies looked at the man, and saw that he has shoulder-length black hair and thin, blue eyes. Underneath his hair, he has two gold hoop earrings similar to the woman. He wears an orange bandanna around his neck. He wears a short sleeve black shirt with the Red Ribbon Army's logo, and, underneath, he dons a long-sleeve white shirt. The ponies gasped, due to him looking very familiar.
"That's... Super 17." Rainbow Dash muttered in surprise. Rainbow Dash was indeed right, the boy looked like Super 17, except he was younger.
"That must be the time when Super 17 was younger." Princess Celestia speculated.
"But the other one around him called him Lapis. Was Lapis his original name?" Twilight said in confusion. The ponies saw Twilight's point. When they first met Super 17, he was known as the latter and not Lapis.
"It's quite a mystery." Rarity said.
"Oh, my brain hurts." Pinkie Pie said, while rubbing her head in slight agony.
"And who's the lady beside him?" Rarity asked. The other ponies were just as curious, since Super 17 never mentioned Lazuli. "And why is an appointment such an important memory?"
Princess Celestia looked at past Super 17. She then used her magic to scan his power, but when she was done scanning, she began to realize something strange. "There is also something more strange. When Super 17 arrived, i couldn't feel his powerful energy. It actually feels much weaker than before."
"Really? Super 17 was not that strong before, but he is now?!" Twilight spoke up in surprise. The other Mane 6 were equally surprised at Celestia's recent news.
"I think we should watch the memories further, to get our answers." Princess Luna suggested.
"Agreed Luna." Celestia nodded in agreement. The young Super 17 along with the girl then walked off. And just as they left, the buildings began to shift.
"What the hay's going on?" Applejack asked.
"I think the memories are changing locations." Princess Luna said. Then everything went dark, and the location changed to a hall similar to a hospital.
"This must be their hospital appointment." Twilight speculated. Then the girl and past Super 17 appeared. The girl impatiently knocked on the door.
"HEY! DOCTOR! We are here for our appointment!" The Lazuli yelled at the door, while knocking on the door.
"My. Somepony's impatient." Rarity muttered. Then the door opened, and there stood an old man. He had slightly tanned skin, blue eyes, a large bushy white mustache, and long hair.
"There you two are. Come right in." The old man greeted. The two teens did as told, and walked inside. The ponies walked through the wall, and saw the old man with a paper on his hand.
"Hello you two. My name is Dr. Gero." The old man named Dr. Gero introduced.
"Dr Gero? He must be an important person in Super 17's memories." Twilight thought to herself.
"Good to meet you doctor. My name is Lazuli. And this is my younger twin brother Lapis." Lazuli introduced herself and past Super 17. Rainbow Dash looked surprised.
"This girl is Super 17's sister? Where have i heard that before?" Rainbow Dash thought to herself.
"Super 17 had a sister? Why haven't he told us that? Including me?" Pinkie Pie asked herself.
"Maybe because he thought it was personal business." Fluttershy speculated.
"Quiet ya two. I'm trying to listen here." Applejack shushed them.
"Okay, let me ask you a few questions before you get your medicine. First question. How old are you two?" Gero asked them.
"I'm 18."
"And i'm 17." Past Super 17 said. The ponies slightly gasped at it.
"He is 17. And his name is Super 17. Convenient." Pinkie Pie muttered in surprise.
"Do you take martial arts?"
"Yes we do." Both of them answered.
"So Super 17 also takes martial arts. Maybe that's how he gets his moves." Pinkie Pie speculated.
"And last question. Are you ready for your medicine?" Dr. Gero said with an evil grin. That made the ponies uneasy.
"Why is the last question, "Are you ready to take your medicine?"? What's that supposed to mean." Princess Luna asked confused.
"Why is the last question, "Are you ready to take your medicine?"? What's that supposed to mean." Lazuli asked, which made Pinkie Pie slightly chuckle. But then gets serious again.
"What are you up to Gero?" Lapis asked uneasy. Dr Gero then took out a gun, and shooted at Lazuli. She fell down the ground unconscious, but instead of a bullet it was an injection, which appeared to withhold sedation. The ponies got shocked at Gero's actions.
"LAZULI!" Past Super 17 cried, while checking on his sister. But before he can run off, he was shot as well. "Why... Are you... Doing... This?" Past Super 17 muttered, before falling down unconscious. The ponies glared angrily at Dr. Gero.
"Why? Because you are my next test subjects of course. I needed the perfect teenagers for my experiments." Dr. Gero grinned wickedly.
"He... He's so insane." Fluttershy muttered in a mixture of shock and fear.
The other ponies were just as angry at the doctor's actions. "What is he planning to do with them?" Twilight asked.
Rainbow Dash glared at Dr. Gero full of anger. She tried to charge at Dr. Gero. Only to pass through, and land beside the image of past Super 17.
"Remember Rainbow Dash. We can't do anything here. This is just a memory. Something that has already happened." Princess Celestia reminded her.
"I know that Princess Celestia. But that Gero is a jerk." Rainbow Dash said with venom towards Dr. Gero.
"I don't think jerk is the best word, to describe that varmint." Applejack said, who was just as mad at Gero as Rainbow Dash.
Next they saw Dr. Gero pushing a hidden button on his desk, which to the ponies surprise, opened some secret stairs down the floor. He pulled the unconscious twins down the stairs. "W... Where is he taking them?" Fluttershy muttered while shaking a bit. The surroundings then began to shift again.
"I think were about to find out darling." Rarity said. Once the shift ended, they were now inside a dark laboratory. The ponies looked at their surroundings. Everything was dark and moody, it was filled with unknown advanced technology, and contained many capsules and containers around the lab. Twilight quickly became fascinated in her surroundings.
"This is amazing. Look at all the unknown stuff around."
"Twilight. This ain't the time for being a fanpony."
"Right. Sorry Applejack." Twilight innocently smiled. Next the ponies saw Dr. Gero working on an advanced machine, by pushing some special buttons on it. Lots of steam was smoking out of it.
Rainbow nudged to Twilight. "Twilight, you are the egghead. What is he doing?"
"Ok first i'm not an egghead. And second, i actually don't know. This technology looks more than a hundred years ahead of ours."
Princess Luna walked over to check on Dr. Gero's machine. She took a look on it, and gasped in shock. "Sister, element bearers. You need to see this."
"What is it Lulu?" Celestia asked in concern. The ponies walked over to the machine, Dr. Gero was working on. They saw some glass, and became shocked at what they just saw. Some mechanical arms were attaching many metal parts on past Super 17 and his sister. Fluttershy covered her eyes with her mane, Pinkie Pie's head was getting green, and Rarity almost fainted from the sight. The rest of the ponies however stood firm, despite the shocking gaze of the situation. After a few more minutes, the mechanical arms stopped, and out came past Super 17 and Lazuli. Despite their metal attachments, they actually looked exactly the same, yet with a one difference each. On past Super 17's black shirt, there was a red insignia with two 'R's on it. Lazuli had the same insignia on the back of her shirt.
"What... What did Dr. Gero do to them?" Fluttershy muttered in shock.
"I guess we will find out in a moment." Celestia spoke. The ponies then watched, as past Super 17 and Lazuli slowly opened their eyes. Once they got their full eyesight, they gave a shocked expression.
Lazuli angrily gritted her teeth, as she glared at the mad scientist. "Dr. Gero what happened? What's the meaning of capturing us?"
Dr. Gero gave an evil grin toward them. "To perfect my project of course."
"And just what is that project of yours anyway?" Past Super 17 asked him while clenching his fist.
"The project... Is you two."
"What?!" The two siblings yelled in shock. "Explain Gero."
"Very well. While you were unconscious for a few days, i managed to reconfigure your bodies completely. And it was a success."
"You... Reconfigured us?!"
"Yes i did. I replaced all your organic parts, with metal parts. Which means that neither of you two are humans anymore. You are both mechanical inside and out." Dr. Gero informed the two siblings. That info made the ponies even more shocked.
"Wait. Super 17... Is a robot?! A mechanical creature?" Twilight shockingly exclaimed. The ponies and the princesses were also shocked.
Fluttershy felt really bad for both past Super 17 and his sister. Pinkie Pie and Rarity felt the same as Fluttershy, while Rainbow Dash and Applejack wanted to pounce on Dr. Gero. Twilight was still shocked at the two siblings cruel fate. The sun and moon princesses were shocked that a man like Dr. Gero could be so insane.
"So you turned us into robots?!" Lazuli asked while still gritting her teeth at him.
"Oh no my dear. You are something even greater. You are now both androids."
Androids?"
"Yes. Half machine on the inside and out. And half organic in your thoughts. Despite your mechanical upgrade, you can still act, move, and think like a human. But i'm afraid that neither of you are now unable to either sleep, eat ever again, die of old age, and you're bodies can obviously never age either."
That made Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie gasp. "So that's why Super 17 never felt asleep."
"And why Super 17 never accepted my cupcakes." Pinkie Pie muttered. "Oh the horror, of never eating cupcakes ever again."
"Your names are no longer Lapis and Lazuli. From now on, you will be called Android 17 and Android 18."
Now Rainbow Dash gasped. "Android 18? Wait, now i remember. Super 17 told me about Android 18. So that's how she's named Android 18."
Applejack looked at her rainbow maned friend. "Wait. Super 17 told ya about his family, and not the rest of us?"
"Well, he told me that i was just like him."
"So that's what Androids are." Twilight thought.
They saw Android 17 in pure anger toward Gero. "You... How dare you! I should kick your head off, and then smash it with my foot." Android 17 angrily clenched his fist, and was about to punch his new creator. But before he can get close to the doctor, Gero quickly took out a remote from his hand.
"Not another step. I also built an off-switch on both of you. Just one push on the button, and you're both turned off for good." That made Android 17 back down. "But you should also be thankful. My upgrades also made the two of you much stronger than before. Enough to finally kill that blasted Goku."
"Goku?" Princess Luna thought.
"Fine. When will we kill him?" Android 18 said, knowing that it's currently hopeless in opposing him.
"Not yet. You see, Goku's not here on planet earth at the moment. So right now, i have no use for the two of you." Dr. Gero stated. He pushed a button on his computer, thus making two open capsules appear. "Each of you go in. Until i have use for you."
The siblings reluctantly obeyed, and walked into their respective capsule. Once they were inside, the capsules closed and the two androids were turned off.
"Those two are deep inside a failure. I need to reprogram them someday." Dr. Gero muttered, while walking off to the shadows. The laboratory now began to shift once again. But this time, everything was black, and a portal appeared in front of them.
"I guess that's the end of the first part of his memories." Princess Celestia said.
"Still, we would like to see who this Goku is." Princess Luna stated.
"I can't believe that Super 17 is a robot... But it's still awesome." Rainbow Dash thought in mixture of shock and excitement. The ponies entered the portal, and the portal closed.
Once the ponies exited the portal, they were back at the dark void where Super 17 stood.
"I can see that you're first trip is done." He spoke.
"Super 17. Dr. Gero... Androids. You are really a robot?" Twilight asked.
"You are both right and wrong. I'm made of metal parts. But i'm still an organic being on the inside. That's what an Android is."
"Now we also know why you barely sleep, and why you actually never eat." Fluttershy stated, while giving Super 17 a comfortable hoof on his knee. "Oh, i'm so sorry about this. I didn't know that you had such a rough start."
"Yet i'm still alright. Don't worry, i have grown used to being an android." Super 17 replied, while smiling toward her.
"Super 17, who was Goku? And why is that name connected to Dr. Gero?" Princess Luna asked him.
"I will explain. For many years ago, there was an almost unstoppable army named the Red Ribbon Army, that tried to conquer the entire world. Anyone who tried to stop them, paid the price. But they were eventually finally stopped by someone named Goku, nearly removing the army from existence. Dr. Gero was a part of it, and he wanted revenge against him for ruining his chances of conquering the world. Which is why he created Androids. Powerful artificial warriors to defeat him."
"Wow. That story is both tragic, and good." Pinkie Pie noted.
"This Goku sounds quite the hero." Rarity added.
Princess Celestia was in her thoughts, where she realized something fishy. "Super 17, there is one thing that confuses me."
"What is that?"
"Dr. Gero said that Android bodies can never age. Then how come you look like this?" She asked him. The ponies and her sister realized their princess's question. In the flashback, Super 17 appeared younger and could no longer age, yet he looks older now and is still an Android.
"Princess Celestia's right. Gero said that you're body can't age. But how can your body look older and taller now?" Twilight asked him.
"I promise you, that it's something you will find out later. Are you ready for the second part of my memories?"
"Heck yeah. I want to see what other awesome things you did. I also want to see Dr. Gero gets what he deserves." Rainbow Dash stated.
"Chill out Rainbow." Applejack nudged her. The other ponies nodded, showing that they're ready for the next part.
"Good. Here is the next portal." Super 17 said, while he opened another portal. The ponies entered the second portal, and disappeared with it.
