Twilight realizes she's lost track of a book. But it's not just any book... it's that book: the first one she recalls being read to her...

It's the middle of the night. Maybe. Since Sunset Shimmer uses light-blocking curtains and has no bedside clock, it could be noon for all she cares. Still, the buzzing of her transdimensional diary wakes her up. It's Twilight Sparkle, panicking about venturing outside her comfort zone. Sunset does her best to calm her friend down.

Celestia and Luna announce their retirement and their plans to turn the throne and power over Equestria to the mane 6. Unfortunately, this is the last straw for Twilight, and she goes off on a rant about why this isn't a good idea.

The Pony of Shadows. For generations, this creature of myth has terrified every pony who heard about it, and it became known as the source of all the darkness, cruelty and wickedness in the world, the wellspring from which evil flowed. Twilight, who has led her friends against many foes in the past, seeks out this ancient enemy of her people, to vanquish it once and for all.

But when she finds it, she and her friends instead discover a different story. One the young Princess would never have expected.

With Pinkie's help, however, maybe she can get this whole mess settled once and for all.

While out on a rather standard errand, a young Rarity encounters a strange new filly. A hyperactive pink one, who seems to be struggling with her own newfound talent as well.

Twilight was just hanging out at the mall with her best friends, until many people came up to her, complimenting and asking about her dog, Spike, much to her confusion. When she found out that her own dog has been making his own vlogging series on HayTube, Twilight decided to have a bone to pick with him.
