I know what she means about silence, and when you can hear the sound of snow falling. And the two of them together. And I love the image of the question's echoes carrying into the future.

The poem that inspired this just went into Public Domain in January 2019, didn't it? We're finally getting things into Public Domain again after a 20-year stretch of waiting (20 years ago we got 1922 items into Public Domain, and now we finally got to 1923).

This has always been one of my favorite poems; it's the first one I ever completely memorized. It's a damn powerful bit of imagery, and you've captured it very very well. Thank you.
