Nightshade Amberstone is the new filly in the town of Ponyville. Nobody knows her, and she is constantly being tormented by the prissy filly, Diamond Tiara, and her crony Silver Spoon. It doesn't help that she doesn't have a Cutie Mark to prove that she is a somepony, in fact she doesn't have anything. All she remembers is her name, and the memory of somepony telling her to see Celestia about a missing pony. With the help of Twilight Sparkle and her friends, Nightshade discovers the true illusions hiding her destiny.

Neon Rave and Random Guy are 2 close friends in high school just trying to get by. But one night while talking about their future they accidentally discovered a portal to another dimension. That once they went in, they couldn't get out. And now, trapped in the world of Equestria. Trying to settle in with their new lives, they must go out to look for answers as to get back to their homeland. But maybe this is home?

After tiring of Twilight's hostile attitude, Discord decides to "help" the Elements of Harmony by bringing in an alternate version of each of them. These duplicates from various worlds aren't told anything about each other, which is good. The last thing Equestria needs is these monsters working together.

For about two weeks, Rainbow Dash has not been paying any attention to Scootaloo; even avoiding her, or so the orange filly thinks. Scootaloo feels as if she is not wanted and or that she is not good enough for the blue pegasus. She goes on a journey of self discovery, hoping... praying... that what she believes to be true is just a misunderstanding. On this soul searching journey she finds that things are better than she could have ever imagined. And worse.

As Twilight Sparkle prepares for her coronation, she can't help but worry about what the future holds. With Celestia busy with coronation preparations, Twilight has no idea where to turn for advice, but this time, advice seems to have found her.
