This story is a sequel to Truth Hurts

A slightly different take on my story “Truth Hurts”, in which Starlight and Sunburst go after their parents and overhear their conversation, learning some painful truths themselves.

After being told off by their children, Stellar Flare and Firelight discuss some hard truths and revelations from that conversation over tea together, and support one another through it.

Discord has put together a dinner for Celestia, as a genuine thanks for giving him another chance at life, and perhaps to move to something more than just friendship. Their dinner is interrupted by Scratch, Warden of Tartarus, and continual thorn in the side of Equestrian Royalty. He comes bearing bad news... Someone or something has escaped.from Tartarus, and what's worse, it has kidnapped Luna.

Celestia and Discord need to ask around to the other Princesses and Zecora to find out how, who, and why this all happened.

Discord has wonderful news for Celestia! In fact, it's news so wonderful that it might render her speechless... which is a good thing, right?

It's just one little surprise, and Discord's overjoyed... so shouldn't Celestia be too?
