Her relationships frayed, and her future causing her anxiety, Applejack heads down to the river with many of the earth ponies in town to see her aunt, an itinerant clergymare of Gaia. Accompanying her is her friend Twilight and a host of regrets.

(Though you don't need to know this to read the story, this is part of the Splinter Songverse, a re-imagining of what might have happened if Rainbow had died in "Where the Sun is Silent" which you can find on EQD. After that fiasco that was the Grand Galloping Gala, Octavia would like to do nothing more than drink herself into a stupor. Pinkie Pie, on the other hoof, wants to apologize--and won't leave until it's accepted.

-In 'My Grown Up Hearth's Warming Wish,' be there when Scootaloo makes one last wish to her parents before she reaches marehood. (Takes place after 'Morning Glory.')

-In 'I'll Be Home for Hearth's Warming,' Shining Armor seeks his younger sister's help in making sure he attends both of his son's very first holidays even though one is in Canterlot and the other is in the Crystal Empire. (Takes place after 'What's Done in the Dark.')

-And in 'No Place Like Home For the Holidays,' be there as Caramel spends Hearth's Warming with the Pie Family... who have no idea that he and Pinkie have already tied the knot. (Takes place after 'the King of Lies.')

Celestia's raising of the Sun at The Summer Sun Celebration in Canterlot inspired a little filly Twilight Sparkle to study magic. After so many trials and triumphs following the path of magic, Twilight is an alicorn herself, and watching the sunrise has a whole new importance.

Applejack's friend Dash took off for the fast life of the big city years ago, but now she's shown up back on the farm with some big city problems. She knows Applejack will always help her out, and Applejack knows it too; she's always been fond of Dash... maybe a little too fond.

Luckily, the Pomme family has a solution to Dash's problem right in their basement. It ain't exactly legal, and ain't exactly safe, but for a friend like Dash, Applejack is willing to risk her reputation, her neck, and, if the cards fall right, her heart.

On the eve of her 50th anniversary, Applejack reviews her "scrap table"--some of the small, stupid, inconsequential, yet supremely important things that have helped her relationship with Rainbow Dash become what it is. It certainly hasn't been easy, and the effects of their relationship have gone far beyond Ponyville proper, but one thing is for sure:
She regrets none of it.

Originally supposed to be a part of AppleDash Collab number two, but it kindof crashed and burned died, with mine being the only entry (who says ADD is a complete curse?). I decided I'd post what I had in the AppleDash Prompt Tag, but then realized, it's over two thousand words. It might as well be its own submission.
And so now it is.
Now, the rules of this collab were, pick a pony and pick a random item, and write a flashback on how it affected their relationship / brought them together / helped them through a tough time / saved Equestria / that sort of thing; hence the chapter name.
They're all out of order and very random; but isn't that how all memories are?

The Mane Six have left Ponyville for the summer, each traveling to a different part of Equestria for different reasons. But a few months and a little distance can't stop their friendship!
