After a particularly annoying surge while tutoring Moon Dancer in her advanced telekinetic studies, Sunset takes refuge in the teacher’s lounge. Though she was only looking for a cup of scalding hot tea, Sunset finds a pony walking down the same path she once walked, giving her an opportunity she’s never had before…
  To help somepony not out of guilt, but just because it’s the right thing to do.

Nestled in a valley, along the bank of a wide river, stands the proud Sol Point estate. It sits in solitude, far from any city, town, or even settlement. Since it's construction 200 years prior to Luna's return it has remained a total secret. Now that Celestia has finally announced her retirement and transferred all of her ruling power to Luna, only the estate's name has become known to the public. Its secluded location remains a closely guarded secret, and that's how Celestia likes it. She's hoping for it to stay that way for at least another year or so.

When dealing with the omnipotent God of Chaos himself, however; that time frame shortens considerably.

She was stuck at the top of a broken Marris wheel when the stallion in the next gondola over started talking to her. With nothing else to do, she talked back. Once the wheel got fixed, they agreed to keep talking. Now, they wander around around the carnival, conversing about nothing in particular. Growing up, griffons, mortality, stars, rigged carnival games, alicornhood, whatever crosses their minds. It's a great way for them to get to know each other.

But they only have until the carnival closes. After that, they'll need to go their separate ways. Even if they don't want to.

After a sudden realization about how Shining Armor became a captain in the Royal Guard, Rainbow Dash hatches an insidious plot to become Captain of the Wonderbolts by following in his hoofsteps in the only appropriate manner...

In the wake of a great tragedy, Celestia opens up, and, for the first time, tells her own story. For the first time, she tells what happened with Discord and King Sombra. And, for the first time, she tells what it's like to have to give up everything she's ever had, everything she's ever wanted, everything she's ever dreamed of--all of it, for the good of Equestria.

Please note: this is an "AU-ish" fic--that is, it sticks to canon in most respects, except when it doesn't.

Celestia's personal student has a rather strange ability; at least once a week, she dreams of a quiet, somber wood. It has always been a peaceful place for her, a sleeping sanctuary for peace and reflection. Under this moon, however, the peace will be broken, for on this night something else stalks the silent trees with her, and it has a message that only she can deliver.

A strange, lonely creature that's always on the move drifts into a village one day. It wants nothing more than to find somewhere warm to settle, but such places are hard to come by. However, it is hopeful, despite all the dangers inherent to this village.

Holding in emotions is never good. Keep them buried for too long, and eventually they burst out at the wrong time. Both Rarity and Rainbow Dash have a secret they have been hiding from their friends, specifically from a certain shy, animal-loving pegasus mare. They've finally decided to come clean, but neither of them counted on the other revealing the truth, much less at the same time.

Now Fluttershy is stuck with an impossible choice between her two best friends. Can she choose one without risking her friendship with the other?
