Six years after getting her big break, Sweetie Belle is back in Ponyville filming for a new documentary about her life. She's a famous singer now, selling out concert halls and producing top 40 hits all across Equestria. Now, she's collecting interviews from all the ponies that played a major part in her life story as she grew up. However, there's one pony who she wants to interview more than any other: Button Mash. In addition to being six years since she got her start, it's also been six years since he broke up with her.

Despite keeping in touch with letters over the years, Sweetie had never brought up the topic of the breakup since it happened, yet she wasn't satisfied with the reason he gave. Deep in the back of her mind, she couldn't help but think that it was somehow her fault. Now though, she had the chance she wanted to get the answers she sought. The only questions left to be answered are will she be able to handle the truth, and what will revealing the biggest secret he's kept the last six years do to Button?

No matter what happens, both their lives will never be the same.

Button Mash is an extremely experienced gamer, he's defeated many powerful and frighting opponents in games, and has proven to many up-start gamers how a 'veteran' plays. Whatever the challenge, no matter how hard, he proved to his opposition why he was the better fighter; but, after a simple question, he now has new opponent to face, one he never liked or wanted to have ever met, his classmate Sweetie Belle.

(This story is based on this story. It had promise, but was unfortunately cancelled. I'm tagging this as 'Teen' due that I will mention some sexual stuff, and I want to play it safe. Also, it's mostly told from Button Mash's perspective.)

Due to her son's falling grades Button's Mom decides to find him a tutor, Button is not particularly fond of this idea but when the tutor arrives he finds that she isn't at all what he imagined.

8th grade has just rolled in for Button Mash and already it has been like every school year, almost everyone thinks he is a huge nerdy weirdo and he still doesn't have a cutie mark, not like he cares or anything. Luckily for him he does have friends in the Cutie Mark Crusaders, whom he trusts enough to tell them anything...well, almost anything. He has a secret that he has kept successfully hidden from the outside world for years. For better or for worse he is forced to make his secret come to light when his best friend Sweetie Belle convinces him to sign up for a Ponyville talent show.

Moving from one place to another isn't easy. In a way, you're starting a new game where you have to settle yourself in a new town and make the best of what you've got. For Button Mash, such a new game changes his life forever as he has to start a whole life anew as he moves from Manehattan to Ponyville.

Along the way, Button Mash will have decisions to make that will determine how his new life in Ponyville will play out. The only catch is that he's not the only one making decisions that affect him...

Button Mash has hidden feelings for the beautiful mare known as Sweetie Belle. He continuously tries to confess his feelings to her, but he always gets nervous and runs away from his feelings. One night, he comes across a realization: He always plays the hero in video games, and the hero always gets the girl, but will he, as a gamer, ever get the girl?

As Button starts playing his favorite video game, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, he somehow gets sucked into the game and is forced to play through it.

Sweetie Belle and Button Mash are transported to Minecraft.
And it's not that fun anymore...

Especially when you could really die.

Button and Spike stumble across a certain somepony, the mare catching their hearts. Who will win in this battle for love?

It's mine and Sweetie Belle's first day of high school and we are both all grown up! I'm finally a stallion and she's a mare. I must admit, she's lookin' fine. But the problem is that she's acting like a total brat. What's her deal? I asked my mom when I got home but she wont tell me. I must know! I will do anything to figure her out, anything. Maybe if I can understand her and figure out a way to help her, maybe she'll like me! I know just the way to figure her out...video games.

Ever since that day Button lost to Double Points in Street Fighter, the two became great friends. Friends who would meet everyday to duke it out in Street Fighter, to trade Pocket Monsters with their Joyboys and to compare high scores in Pac-Pony. As the two get older, going on High School years, they seem to get closer. Too close for Sweetie Belle's comfort. Now she tries to split the gaming duo so she can show her true feelings for Button without Double Points getting in the way.

But, that's easier said, than done.
