Fluttershy is always willing to come and cheer Rainbow Dash on, be it for flight competitions, races, or even practise sessions. Unfortunately Fluttershy’s cheering leaves a lot to be desired. Rainbow Dash however has come up with a solution to this problem; dress Fluttershy up as a cheerleader.

Now having to deal with whether they should be together, whether they even love each other, and how their friends and others may react, they must face the challenges this possibly new-found love could bring. But the question is, will they survive, and will close friendship or romance prevail over all else in the end?

Over time they discover the source of their problems, and more importantly, each other. Alongside them are their trusty animal companions- Angel; the arrogant jerk with a heart of gold and Tank; a zen-like tortoise.

After a night of drinking, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash speculate on two of their absent friends.

When sorting through a horde of ancient artefacts Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash accidentally activate the magical powers of a pair of bracelets which force the wearers to be in constant physical contact with one another. Stuck together until Twilight manages to find a way to remove the bracelets, the shy and timid pegasus must cope with re-emerging feelings, while the athletic and rash pegasus must cope with the various antics of a bunny rabbit out to get her.

During the Mane 6’s battle against the changelings Rarity witnesses a moment between two of her friends that implies that they are more than just friends, and after the royal Canterlot wedding draws to a close, decides to inform the other members of the Mane 6.
