What does it mean to be a unicorn? To have spells that create fire, and have light at one's beck and call? The ability to conjure illusions, and grasp and throw objects with just a thought?

There is a point in every unicorn's life when they must decide whether to live with magic as a mundane thing, a simple tool, or to steep themselves in the higher learnings that is their birthright.

For three young mares that have been chosen to be taught by Princess Celestia, herself, their studies have only just begun.

Trixie Lulamoon finally encounters her first real fan, a unicorn filly that calls herself the Someday Great and Soon to be Powerful Hijinx, or Simply Jinx Because This Is a Mouthful. Jinx begs Trixie to become her teacher, and Trixie's ego is pleased with the prospect of having a student just so she can show up the Ever Annoying and Slightly Attractive Princess Twilight Sparkle.

Nothing ever quite goes as planned, especially around Hijinx, who might just be an even worse magician than Trixie.

Warning: Will eventually contain Twixie, the OTP. If this disgusts you, DON'T READ IT!

After a medical exam, Scootaloo was given the news that she only has a 20% chance of ever being able to fly. Her aunt may be willing to accept that diagnosis, but Scootaloo isn't willing to accept her fate, and is determined to fly by any means possible, no matter what risks it may bring.

Set in the same universe as "On a Rainy Day", though this story is self contained.

This story is a sequel to Pie In The Sky

Rainbow Falls, home of the Equestria Games qualifying round...and the Rainbow Falls Traders Exchange. Gilda and Surprise run into each other months after the epic baked goods fight that threatened to eliminate both their teams from the Games.

A sequel to Pie In The Sky and while it's not necessary to read that story first, you'll find this fic more enjoyable if you do.

When Berry Punch feels as though she's lost it all she does what many would also do; go to a bar and let your sorrow be consumed by alcohol. On one night in particular however, a storm causes her to fall into serious jeopardy. With nothing more to save her a miracle seems to happen, a stallion comes out from the woodwork to take her home.

Meanwhile...

Sound Ray is a musician and ex-royal guard of many talents and a very unusual stature. When he decides to go to Ponyville to settle down he is unable to find a place to spend the night and as such chooses to spend the night having drinks and playing the piano in a local bar. Too bad he didn't know how his luck was about to change for the better so quickly.

Set Before the Luna's return by a decent amount. You will find out why in some of the later chapters.

Goose Down wanted to be a Guard Pony more than anything else in her life, just like her Father, numerous uncles, and six big brothers. Unfortunately she was small, a Nocturne Mare, and, oh yes, had a phobic fear of the open sky.

Combined that with her mistake of getting in the wrong job application line at the palace and ending up a maid, things look very dim indeed in regards to realizing her dream.

On the plus side, she works for the Princess of Dreams. So maybe, with a little help from her friends, and a very different type of princess, she will manage to achieve her heart’s desire.

A drunken conversation at a party leads Fluttershy to reevaluate her feelings for Rainbow Dash. Unfortunately the reverse is not true.

Gilda was humiliated, depressed, she lost her home and she had nobody to go to. That is until Fluttershy found her moping in the streets of Cloudsdale. (Cancelled, I have absolutely no desire to come back to this. There is way to much I have to do IRL and I want to focus on another story.)
