When Berry Punch feels as though she's lost it all she does what many would also do; go to a bar and let your sorrow be consumed by alcohol. On one night in particular however, a storm causes her to fall into serious jeopardy. With nothing more to save her a miracle seems to happen, a stallion comes out from the woodwork to take her home.
Meanwhile...
Sound Ray is a musician and ex-royal guard of many talents and a very unusual stature. When he decides to go to Ponyville to settle down he is unable to find a place to spend the night and as such chooses to spend the night having drinks and playing the piano in a local bar. Too bad he didn't know how his luck was about to change for the better so quickly.
Set Before the Luna's return by a decent amount. You will find out why in some of the later chapters.
Okay, I think that I'm going to like this. I really want to see how this turns out.

I like the build up in the chapter. Yeah, it can be considered a little fast, but then again consider the mare and stallion in question. Sound is used to being an outcast, and Berry more or less has become ostracized by the community because of her drinking habits. Them coming together could be done quickly because they feel a connection, and the same time they need this connection.
Let's see how this turns out.

4279975 Thanks for the feedback. I was sort of rushing this one due to the fact that I have some ideas for plot and other characters to get. Not to mention I also want the story to take up about a year or two. But I'm glad that you are enjoying the story. I'll get too work on chapter three within a day or so and see about getting chapter four started pretty soon after that.

I don't Mind that the Doctor and "Derpy" (i despise calling her that, I prefer caling her Ditzy, its not much better but it implies clumsiness instead of mental handicaps) are married. In fact I much prefer it that way.
To be honest I didn't mind the take on Cherilee, besides this is taking place before the current events in MLP:FiM. That said, I liked the way he handled the situation. I would love to see how things go between them. I would also love to see him getting Berry started back on her business again. Granted, it might take a while.
Overall, I say the chapter was pretty decent.
I look forward to seeing more to do with the Thestrals aka Lunar Pegasi, aka Batponies. Because, eventually I'm certain that we're going to see another Thestral eventually.

At first i was confused as to why Cheerilee was being so.... out of character, then i was disapointed in her (and a little mad at you{I chose to blame the fact that Cheerilee is one of my OC's wives, alongside Pinkie, Luna, and a couple of other OCs}), but overall It was a refreshing take on Cheerilee that I had yet to see. I more than withhold my hate, I shower you with approval.
My oppinion on Sound Ray hasn't changed.
I too have done some things I regret.

4589089 At first I also believed it was too rushed, but I then had to consider how this whole story was going to take up the time span of about five to six years. If I decided that every little moment deserved another chapter then my story would be longer than I would hope for and way to time consuming.
I do however thank you for your opinions and I enjoy your feedback. It helps more than you know.
I feel the Doctor should have been called Time Turner or Clockwork in this story since he isn't truly the doctor.
