Wheatley, a core from Aperture Science never thought that he would ever see the Earth up close after being banished, doomed to float around the moon forever. That was however until magic got involved and a special unicorn pulled him down to earth. Well, not exactly Earth, but it's a new home at least.

I was always different. A failing body and a mind that always felt incompatible. And with my body failing me, I died. Only, I didn't die. Instead, I returned home as the prophecy had foretold a thousand years ago. Where my mind matched my body, and my body matched my mind. But arriving in this new world set into motion an ancient conflict, one which I would be thrown head first into where I would learn who I truly was meant to be.

On Flurry Heart's twelfth birthday, Cadance tells her daughter she will never die.

Haunted by the loneliness of her young immortality, Flurry Heart finds unexpected solace in the only other pony who could possibly understand her — the filly preserved for eternity within the Gardens of Canterlot.

Flurry could not have forseen that an apparition of that filly would appear before her, and only her.

Something brought them together. Flurry intends to uncover what.

She was taught to fear the creaking of branches above her head. Nightmares consist of wandering through the trees in flight, pursued by a horrendous shape just out of sight that would be her end if it caught her.

Flurry Heart knows the rules of peace that keep her village a harmonious place, as well as the laws that keep them all alive:

No one is to enter the woods.
An offering will be left at the edge of the woods during every full moon, and an offering will be retrieved every new moon.
Those who enter the woods will be made forfeit to those within, and they know not the meaning of mercy.

Never has either side dared to breach this uneasy peace, and thus each continues to survive- perhaps even begin to flourish after so many dark years of struggle they had endured.
