After leaving on a second pilgrimage to find himself, Spike returns to Ponyville, physically larger and sporting an impressive array of skills and powers.

His plans for a calm life in Ponyville, however, takes a different path as he soon finds himself the desire of several ponies interests, friends old and new included.

Change breeds benefits, as the saying goes. Spike has yet to hear it ring true.

From the point of view from Vinyl Scratch, this is a journey, meeting, falling in love with, and building a relationship with Octavia. The two are very different and have very different views, thus creating a lot of tension and heart break in which both Vinyl and Octavia must pick up the pieces and put them back together, for their love is endless.

Sometimes, you're not the special pony. Emerald is not the special pony. Between living with his dragon, being friends with an eccentric author, his job, life was not exciting. He dreamed of a different world, one where he was a hero, saving the princess and being rich and famous.

So when his friend ask him to go to the Grand Galloping Gala as his guest, he takes the offer. That's when things started to get interesting.

An odd letter. A death threat. A disgruntled officer. The name.

For some, the Grand Galloping Gala is the best night ever. For Emerald, it was the beginning of his journey through a world that few ponies knew existed.

Luna and Celestia discuss the seriousness of a request from the lunar alicorn. Afterwards, Luna must be sure that the object of her request, and her heart, has the courage to go through with it. And herself as well.
