After the conclusion of "My Little Dashie", life goes on for the narrator and Dashie. They do indeed remember each other and all the time they shared, but how can Dashie let her daddy know this crucial fact? Long after Dashie has left his life, he decides to catch up on all the episodes he missed by cutting off when he adopted Dashie. As he watches, suspicion of her lasting memories grows on his part, while she attempts to find a way to communicate her situation to him. Pasts are revealed, shedding significant light on the circumstances of Dashie's adoption, and Dashie tries to throw in an on-screen hint that only he will grasp the true meaning of.

So, this is LONG overdue. I wrote this back in October, inspired both by the original story and by a picture by CSImadmax over on deviantART. However, I did not have a FIMFiction account at the time and merely posted the story on my deviantArt account as a link to the Google Doc that housed it (link if you don't believe me: http://amimizunofan22.deviantart.com/art/My-Little-Dashie-A-Moment-265671483). Nonetheless, I figured that posting it here would help spread it a bit more. So, without further ado, here is My Little Dashie: A Moment. A minor accident at Sweet Apple Acres sends Big Macintosh to Ponyville in the middle of applebuck season. At first, things seem fine. But then some of the mares begin acting a little...oddly.

Then very oddly. Turns out every other stallion skipped town for a very good reason.

Only, what's a man of action supposed to do when there's absolutely nothing to do? With some help from his new friends, Graves will learn what it means to settle down in Ponyville.

Even with the help of their friends, it's going to take a miracle to untangle this knot.

Spring has come and gone, Graves remains in Ponyville, and for once, all is well. No monsters to slay, no damsels to rescue, nothing: just nice, relaxing days passing in easy leisure. Or, at least as relaxing as Ponyville ever gets. A collection of short stories, the marshal takes a break from fighting and learns a little more about his friends and neighbors, one lazy summer day at a time.

After their little trolling adventure, Sweetie Belle has decided that Graves would make a great big brother. Of course adoption's out of the question (after all, parents always say no), so that just means the Cutie Mark Crusaders will have to get creative.

Meanwhile, Rarity has taken an interest in Graves for completely different reasons. Just what does the prettiest girl in Ponyville see in the gruff, stern faced soldier? He has no idea and frankly, isn't sure he wants to find out.

Spring. It's that time of year where all the fillies around start thinking less with their heads and more about doing what nature intended, if you know what I mean. For Big Macintosh, this means a whole lot of headache as he heads into town. With every mare acting like it's an all-you-can-eat special at Sugarcube Corner, how will our stoic stallion fair when he's the buffet?

Graves is finally getting settled into Ponyville: his things have arrived, and many of his new friends are helping him move in. However, the housewarming will just have to wait, as the marshal receives word that there's trouble brewing in the Everfree Forest. Simple enough really, except for one minor problem: Graves has already promised Rarity he'd take care of Sweetie Belle for the day. What will the marshal do when his troublesome job meets the walking disaster?

Some accidents are small, and some endow you with the power of a godly ruler. On the opposite end of things, you lose your wings along with your ability to move celestial bodies, and you can't tell anypony. Why, because what would they think if the princess became a librarian? It's going to be "fine". Celestia just needs to switch back with Twilight before either of their true identities are revealed. All Twilight has to do is hold down the castle, fight off scheming villains, run the country, and worst of all... deal with all the noble ponies.

Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie dress up as superheroes and head out to fight crime - or boredom. Same thing, really. When Pinkie Pie reveals that her favorite superhero is even cooler than Daring Do, trying to find an opportunity for heroics won't be the only thing gnawing on Rainbow's mind.
