Spike has survived the strain of daily life to find himself empty inside. Proven a worker, a friend, and a proper dragon—that search for 'something' never ends. Finally, on being led by a feeling, he winds up before Princess Celestia without a reason.

Gallus is having a hard time in class when it comes to the element of Generosity, so it falls upon his friends to help the gryphon with the subject.

None of them realized how hard it would be to get a naturally greedy creature to accept parting with his 'hard' earned cash.

Horizon lays beaten and ultimately held in a cell beneath Canterlot Castle. Left with three days before trial, he finds self reflection when Pinkie Pie pays him an unexpected visit.

Cheerilee deals with being retired and seemingly having nothing really left to do in Equestria, perhaps her passed students can teach her a lesson in turn.

I had to do some timeline chopping to get it to work but nothing major, just some movements of years.

I had to toss in a handful of OCs for her students/famous writers/poets but I didn't list it because the story is about Cheerilee, not them. And technically the last non canon pony is actually taken from one of her students seen in the show but I had to give her a name.

Years pass and days go by, but the important ones in our life stay with us forever. Spike knows that better than anyone.

On a lonely night, Spike takes time to remember one of the most important ponies in his life and all the good times they shared.
