It was a warm, sunny day, right in the heart of summer. Applejack and Rainbow Dash had chosen to have a walk in the countryside together, spending the afternoon out with just each other. The Sun was high and the sky was clear, but things were rather comfortable, as a gentle breeze was blowing through the fields.

And it was all going so well, until they got to that tree.

There is no such thing as a gut feeling, not really. If you suddenly start to feel afraid for no apparent reason, it's very unlikely to be anything serious. But it doesn't make it feel any better does it?

Twilight is up burning the midnight oil again, when suddenly every sense she has tells her that something is terribly wrong. There can't be anything really wrong though, not in reality.
Can there?

I don't know what this is. Well, I do, it's a My Little Pony fanfic. In a fanfic website. But beyond that, I'm not really sure what this is. Read at your own risk.

love can do many things. it can save you from the pits you're falling into, it can make you feel things you've never felt before, it can brighten up your life in ways previously unimaginable. but sometimes, love can destroy you, even if you're already destroyed.  love can make us do many things as well. terrible things included.

rarity and fluttershy are two ponies who may seem perfectly healthy on the surface, but deep down they both have flaws that only exacerbate when they begin dating. neither of them realize how much this affects their relationship until a third party enters the picture and fluttershy is slowly pulled away from rarity's grasp.

or, what happens when a depressed teenager has nothing better to do than project onto pastel ponies. listening to IGOR isnt necessary for this but also you should listen to IGOR. this doesn't follow its plot to a t but i used it as an outline. song titles don't equate to a chapter's content (e.g. BEST INTEREST isnt about a third wheeler) most of the time.

Littered around Ponyville are stains of blood, an’ more an’ more bodies. Ponies I knew. Ponies I called friends. Ponies who will, dependin’ on how much of ‘em is left, probably get up and do the same to anyone else left alive. I wish I could stop it, but I can’t bring myself to desecrate their bodies like that.

Everypony who was able to evacuate is gone, I think, an’ all that’s left is me an’ Dash an’ the other… the other things that are lurkin’ about.

This story is a sequel to No Room In This Hell

I've seen it happen before. Ponies get bit and come nighttime, they turn. 

I dunno if they're even really alive at that point, but I know they're strong as an angry bull. It's like they don't care about anypony else anymore, not even themselves. They bite. They've got these fangs and they bite like a rabid dog. 

I turn to look at Rainbow. They got her, too. But we were quick. We got rid of the wing they got 'er at. I think… I think that'll help.
