Applejack has brushed her mane, put a ribbon on her hat, and there's a sway in her step. Most ponies just want to know who the special pony is.

Rainbow Dash doesn't buy it. Love is mushy, and AJ isn't mushy. Love means liking somepony more than her friends, and AJ would never like another pony more than Dash. Love means missing a game of horseshoes to go tell a pony that she's in love with them, and if there is one thing Dash is sure of, it's that AJ is not going to miss that game... no matter what Applejack thinks about it.

Love is the most sacred of magics, possessed by all but commanded by few. It is the driving force behind life in Equestria, the lifeblood of pony civilization.

But when a new kind of magic arrives in Equestria, it is up to its bearer, Twilight Sparkle, to decide its fate...
or perhaps it's up to the magic to decide hers.

For generations the port town of Oatsmill has sat quietly wedged between the Sunset Ocean and the Black Silt River. Recently, though, a plague of villainy has descended on the citizens. Two ponies, forced together by a mysterious benefactor, must try to set things right.

The CMC control the action as Apple Bloom leads her friends on their very first quest in Quetzals and Caves. Will Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo be able to work together to overcome the challenges Apple Bloom has set before them?

Rainbow Dash's dad, Blue Streak, has been lonely and sad ever since Firefly passed away. Rainbow has tried her best to cheer him up, but to no avail. On her latest visit, she finds out that her dad has been seeing someone and is now happier than ever. She couldn't be happier for him, until she found out who it was.

A long time has passed since Princess Twilight ascended. Her friends have grown into historical figures and heroes, harbingers of a peaceful era. Magic flourishes, with the elder mages teaching new apprentices.

One such filly learns the principles of magic from a wizard who has... unorthodox methods. He pulls stories from the journal of an ancient and powerful mage, teaching through the critical points in his life. She is immersed in the tales through powerful magic, able to see the events unfold with amazing clarity.

Something in the spell reacts to her, though - bonding to her in profound ways. She can interact with the protagonist to change events. What she doesn't know is that her teacher and these "stories" are not as clear-cut or simple as they appear. Her actions will change Equestria forever.

Luna is a little filly who has never received a gift on Hearts and Hooves Day, so when she receives a card from a colt at school, she has no idea what to do. With a little help from her big sister Celestia, Luna just might gain the confidence she needs to take her first step in love.
