~A simple tale told through the format of letters~

It's just a date, right? What could possibly go wrong? But when the scientifically-minded Twilight Sparkle deems it necessary to start writing letters to Pinkie Pie about it, bad approaches lead to misunderstood intentions, and it's up to Twilight to solve the problem herself.

If you ask Applejack, she’ll tell you Pinkie Pie can be a few apples short of a bushel even on the best of days. They’ve always been good friends, but nothing more than that. After all, what could a hard-working apple farmer and a sugar-crazed party pony possibly have in common?

As it turns out, the answer to that question may not be a pleasant one, but something good may yet come of it.

At the cusp of a mistake, and at the edge of temper, Applejack and Rarity find themselves stranded in a place between home and Dodge. But perhaps fate had kept them apart for a reason; for when the truth finally emerges, it's soon clear which pony loves who... and which pony doesn't.

But when they finally understand the intricate webs upon which they stand, it will take something a little bit more than love in order to save them from the fallout.

Somewhere, far from the watchful eyes of the Princesses, stands a beautiful forest patch. It's surrounded by endless fields of grass, only a pair of infinite train tracks betraying the presence of ponies.

Here, two unicorns find themselves stranded, with no memory of how they arrived. To make matters worse, they are unable to use magic.

Twilight and Rarity are sent to identify a mysterious artifact found in the Crystal Mountains. The journey is long, and while traveling in the breathtakingly beautiful scenery of the North, Twilight starts to discover entirely new feelings towards her friend.

But their mission is not sugar and spice, for under the Northern skies, something ancient has awoken.

Although she is ashamed to admit it, Rainbow Dash sleeps with a Spitfire plush. But that gets her thinking...what would it feel like to cuddle with another pony instead of a doll? Now she is determined to seek out her friends and find out.

After a little incident at the Equestria Games tryouts, Cheerilee finds herself apologizing to Ms. Harshwhinny and taking her out to drink as penance. Things won't get weird between them over alcohol, right?

This is probably the only Harshilee story that exists, or ever will, so I suppose this is part of my ongoing theme of pairings basically nobody loves.
