Darkness is brewing. Despite all that she and her friends have accomplished, Sunny Starscout knows that it hasn’t been enough - that there must be a final fight. But the future looks grim. All contact with the Crystal Empire and the outside kingdoms has ceased, and Sunny and her friends are sure that something has gone very wrong. Furthermore, the Elements of Harmony are still missing, and nopony has seen any sign of Chrysalis or Termite. But everything starts to fall apart when the rulers of all kingdoms go missing, and ancient enemies rise up - enemies who are willing to do whatever it takes to claim Equestria as their own. With time running out, it is once again up to Sunny and her friends to save the day, before everything is consumed in darkness.

Reunite with friends, new and old, in this epic final installment in the Legends Never Die saga.

Cast out of the Celestial Palace, the former Royal Student, Sunset Shimmer, is about to take life into her own hooves and seize what rightfully belongs to her, on the other side of that mysterious Mirror Portal.

Only problem is, somepony else got to the mirror, first. It's gone, vanished.
So is Celestia.

On the bright side, the new Acting Princess, Mi Amore Cadenza (or Cadance, as she likes to be called), is willing to ignore that banishment and give Sunset a second chance. She's heard the rumors about the reclusive, disobedient, and just-generally-mean Royal Student, but the Acting Princess needs all the help she can get.

So, all of a sudden, Sunset goes from being a disgraced scholar, banned from the palace grounds, to serving as a valuable asset of Princess Cadance's desperate scramble to hold the Principality of Equestria together and figure out what on Equus even happened to the Princess of the Sun.

Now, Sunset just has to avoid royally peeving off the ponies giving her a second chance: to ingratiate herself to them, even; to make herself indispensable. She can lie, cheat, and swindle like nopony else in the Celestial Palace, and it's time she used those talents for somepony other than herself.

Starting with this little project of Cadance's. The Princess needs to recruit a young group of friends to serve the Crown and Harmony, and she's already got a lead. Sunset just has to do the actual hoofwork of meeting the candidates, and then she can dust her hooves of this and go back to her studies, secure in her appointment as Royal Student.

What's the worst that could happen?

Comes after Stay of Execution, but that work is not required to appreciate this one. Provides context for Understudy.

After another battle with Equestrian magic, Sunset decides to invite the Rainbooms, Trixie and Starlight over to her condo so she can show them her new gaming room.

Later that night, a stray stream of magic seeps into her window and sneaks itself into Sunset's game room, which infected her computer with a virus that pulls her, the Rainbooms, Trixie and Starlight into cyberspace!

Meanwhile, an evil sentient computer virus is planning to drain all the energy from the cyberspace to take over the computer world!

Can they stop the virus and save the computer world or will the electronic grid fry itself permanently?

It’s been a month since Principal Cinch was fired from Crystal Prep Academy, and things are looking bleak. In her absence, the school has split into two factions: the Defectors, a bunch of thugs who will fight for Cinch’s return by any means necessary; and the Changelings, enforcers for the newly appointed Principal Chrysalis. As insults, threats, and even fists fly between the two groups, it seems like Crystal Prep is ready to become a battleground.

Only the Shadowbolts, who witnessed the magic of friendship first hand, are willing to stand up to either group. But with tensions growing and more and more students getting hurt, can the Shadowbolts save their school and transform it into the utopia they know it can be? Or is Crystal Prep doomed to fall back into hatred and cruelty?
