The Elements of Harmony were unleashed against Nightmare Moon in a climactic clash, as was predicted a thousand years ago. With Nightmare banished and Princess Luna restored, life in Equestria is fairytale perfect. But just what was the relationship between Luna and Nightmare Moon? Was it as simple as the old books portray, or was there something deeper going on?

When Luna joins her sister in Canterlot Castle truths will need to be revealed, and the shadows of history rolled back. Sisterly harmony will be at stake, and trust will be tested in the aftermath of the return of the mare in the moon.

My first fic. If it ain't obvious as you read along, I am not a pro caliber writer, although I do try for proper grammar, spelling and the like. I will add chapters as work/life/free time permits me.

Princess Luna is having trouble falling asleep, and she soon discovers why—she is in the company of an old accomplice. But what this being's intentions are and what they seem to be are two very different things...

Having learned much about Equestria from both Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer, the two principals from CHS have always been curious about what the world is really like. Luna finally proposes the idea that the two should find out themselves just what its like to be a pony...and not just any pony but royalty as well. What could possibly go wrong in this situation?

Twilight could probably name about thirty of them.

After the second changeling invasion, Fluttershy is eager to get back to a normal routine. However Discord seems to be constantly underfoot, checking her identity and the status of her health. Eventually, an unexpected visit from Princess Luna brings Discord's fears out of the night and into the light.

Discord never betrayed Equestria for Tirek, aiding in returning the magic to all the drained unicorns. As a result, Celestia deems him ready of a "small" gift: The Archduchy of the Everfree, technically making him the highest noble under the princesses.

Naturally, this shocks everypony, including Discord himself. Now of course his lands will some have some chaotic magic and strange laws in effect, but that doesn't mean he doesn't take the noble thing a little seriously. Why is anypony's guess, but it'll be entertaining to watch.

"What do you wanna be? The Princess, everyone adores? Or the monster, that you are supposed to be?"

Nightmare Moon. For Luna this name fills her with shame, regret and hate. After the Mane Six purified her from her worst nightmare, the true suffer begins. Luna's guilt plagues her together with the question, if the ponies will ever see her as the Princess and not as the monster, she had been in her past.
When Ponyville is inflected by a rare and strange disease, Celestia has to clear the air. She too has comitted a sin in her past and now her mistake threatens the life of so many ponies, even children. Celestia asks Luna to find the Elements of Disharmony, which has been lost decades ago. But sadly someone else is after them as well.
Can Luna find the stones? Or will her enemy be faster? And during her search, will Luna ever be able to see beyond her past and face her greatest fear? Will she return as the Princess, everypony adores, or as the monster, everyone has seen in her?

AN: This story will have a sequel. It was inspired by the fanfiction Past Sins by PenStroke, the movie Balto and my own Headcanons. All characters belong to Hasbro and Lauren Faust. The OCs Brightwisker, Dead River, Cobaltwave, Sharp Sword, Amentia, Deimos and Phobos belong to the author.
The story is on hitatus, because at the moment I am not really in the mood for continuing it. Probably also because so less people read it.

King Sombra has been reduced to a foal along with Queen Chrysalis, Nightmare Moon, and Discord. While they hate princess Celestia for turning them to foals and cause her nothing but trouble. They will have to learn to accept their new predicement and learn to love their new mothers.

It just happens to be a cloud that's been saturated with pegasus magic, to the point where anypony (and anyone) can rest upon it. The support is perfect, the temperature ideal, and Rainbow would do a lot to own one -- except saving up for it, because that's clearly stupid.

But the company has a factory in Canterlot. One which just started offering tours to the public. So in theory, all she has to do is get in there, see how it's done, and then apply that to creating one herself. Getting locked in after hours wasn't part of that plan, but if you're going to be stuck anywhere at night...

Changelings have never been welcomed among ponies in Equestria. Forced into hiding by the Elders long ago, most ponies don’t even know what a changeling is. A young princess named Luna crosses path with another princess, a changeling, by the name of Chrysalis. Not knowing of the consequences, a friendship begins to bloom between the two fillies. Differences in the way you live, what your race is, and what you eat doesn't matter. It’s what’s in your heart that matters...Right?
