Written as an entry for Kits' Unusual Pairings Shipfic Contest Extraordinaire Extravaganza LLC. After Granny Smith suddenly passes away, Applejack is crushed by remorse and guilt. Her grief-ridden wanderings land her at Fluttershy's cottage, where she struggles to come to terms with her loss, and to learn a valuable lesson, not just about friendship, but life in general. If anyone enjoys this besides me and is interested in crafting some cover art I'd be much obliged, as I can't seem to come up with a good premise for an easy photoshop cover.

After the success of the former play, Fluttershy decides to try out for a part in the school's rendition of 'Into the woods,' all by herself. She auditions for a tree, but gets a callback for Cinderella. Unable to turn down the role, Fluttershy is incredibly anxious. Luckily for her Applejack is more than willing to help with her lines. When new feelings start to develop what will Fluttershy do? More importantly can she become Cinderella?

Friendship can take a lot out of you, and for a middle-aged mare with her condition, there's only so much Applejack to go around.

Fortunately, this particular country mare has an ace in the hole.

She’s the loyalest of friends and most dependable of ponies; how could anypony not fall in love with Applejack? In fact, so much of the town has found themselves under her seductive spell, they’ve formed a secret society to help each other cope with their unbridled lust. Operating in seclusion, this group has been an unseen staple of Ponyville. Surely, though, nothing good can come of the mare herself discovering the existence of Applejack Anonymous.

For their first home together, Twilight and Applejack wanted a house close to Applejack's farm and big enough for Twilight's books, with a little something special besides. They settled on the perfect place, one of the oldest barns on Sweet Apple Acres, and had it converted into a comfortable house for their little family. But when strange things start happening just after they move in, Twilight finds that she has a mystery to solve before she can really call her dream house "home."

Going to visit Zecora, Fluttershy and Applejack are attacked by timberwolves. The resulting fight and flight leaves Applejack injured and Fluttershy poisoned by a hallucinogenic plant. The good news: they got away, and neither of them are suffering anything life threatening. The bad news?

Now Fluttershy has to survive a night in her cottage. Alone. With the plant's drug pumping through her system, she soon faces horrors of her own imaginings. Worst of them all is that eternal, hot yearning she feels for the mare who will always be there for her.

Faced with the implications and changes brought about by Twilight's coronation, Rarity must contend with what it might mean for their relationship. A relationship, you see, that lives and dies by the dozens of books quietly stashed away in the back of her closet. 

One day, she hopes, she'll be able to give them back.
