Jason Wright is dead. The Elements and all of Ponyville are to blame for his abuse for three long horrendous years. Princess Celestia, upon hearing about this, lays down righteous judgement on each of them. This breaks their friendship and causes them to scatter to the winds while also destroying the reputation of Ponyville itself.

Two years later, a second human enters Equestria for a job. He and his new companions are a part of a mercenary team, not well known, but unique in their own way. Little does this human know that a simple job his team accepted in Equestria will lead him to becoming involved in something bigger.

Somewhere in the multiverse, there is a bar. It's small—the kind-of a hole-in-the wall place which you might find open late at night while walking down the streets of Canterlot City in the 1920's.

But unlike most bars, this one is not actually there… or rather, not where you think it is.

The entrance to Sunset's Isekai will be found in passing; an archway made of stone, emerging from a wall that you could have sworn had nothing there before, and in fact seems impossible to actually lead anywhere.

There, a door of solid oak—lovingly worked and stained to look almost golden-red—with a thick, crystal version of Sunset's cutie mark at eye level awaits visitors under the soft light of a gas lamp.

This door opens to all worlds, and can only be found by those that need that drink to be just the right type of different.

Note: This fic is best read like nursing your drink - Don't rush it. Enjoy each flavor for what it is. Don't mix it all up by reading it one chapter after the other in one sitting. It's intended to (mostly) work in a way that each chapter can be read without having to tackle through the rest of the story. (Also, for the last time, the concept for this is NOT based on Restaurant to Another World or any anime.)

Princess Celestia was sure that the day was going to be great. The Sun shone bright in the sky, the birds were singing, and nothing could possibly go wrong. That was, until she received some rather grim news concerning her sister.

She thought she'd been clear enough about things last time.

One thousand years ago, Princess Luna fell to her corruption. Driven to madness by loneliness, shunned by the very subjects she strived to protect, and by jealousy of her ever-brighter sister.

In her desire to be seen by her subjects, Nightmare Moon brought about an eternal night, that they might finally view her as equal to the beloved Princess of the Sun.

Princess Celestia was forced to confront her, and they fought. Nightmare Moon was outmatched, and banished.

Five hundred years ago, Princess Celestia fell to her own corruption, born of grief at the loss of her sister, and rage at her own immortality as she watched those she cared about crumble to dust, while she remained, unchanging.

Two hundred and fifty years ago, the last free country on Equus fell to the newest and only empire on the planet:

The Solar Imperium, ruled with an iron hoof by Queen Daybreaker, Goddess of the Sun.

Today, Princess Luna returned from the moon.

Mere days after the Changeling attack on Canterlot, along with the new public knowledge that Changelings even exist, Ponyville police make their first arrest on the basis of suspected changeling status. While Shining Armor and Princess Cadance's burst of magic at their wedding may have briefly exposed many changelings, this has proven to be a magical feat not easily repeated. It quickly becomes apparent that nopony is aware of any easily replicable method of forcibly reverting a Changeling's shapeshifting.

There is thus no way to easily prove Changeling status- or lack thereof. This comes with a few major problems, the most significant of which is difficult to answer. How is it possible to balance the Equestrian court system's legal presumption of innocence with public safety?

Rating information: While there will be no explicit sex scenes, there are going to be some plot points which will mention sex as a topic, which is the reason I'm rating the story as teen. It will be done in a way that relates to the main theme of the story, so it hopefully won't be too prurient. If somebody paused before clicking the story due to the 'sex' tag, it thus shouldn't dissuade them. Similarly, if somebody found the story while searching based on that tag, it's probably not what they were looking for. (Although I would still appreciate their readership if somebody in the second category decided to check it out anyways).

A dalek appears in Equestria - not just any dalek, but the one that had been corrupted by Rose Tyler's DNA. It has a choice of life as a pony, or dying, and finds that it cannot bear to die a second time. Thus begins a strange adventure as the dalek tries to find a place for itself in a world that is completely antithetical to its former existence and way of thinking...

...and why does that earth pony stallion look familiar...?

Ancient Greece: A land of gods, heroes, monsters... and very few roles for women beyond wife and housekeeper.

In other words, it's a pretty terrible place and time for a renegade student of Princess Celestia to find herself. But Sunset Shimmer is nothing if not determined and resourceful. She will bend this world to her will.

That's the plan, anyway. Given how the heliocentric model is still a few millennia away from wide acceptance, maybe she can settle for finding happiness.

The cake twins have always been my most favorite foals in the whole wide world!

Their parents were always SOOO busy, so I constantly played with them, and entertained them. We all had fun when I was in charge!

Lately, Mrs. Cake has been feeling sick. Guess what, she BIT Mr. Cake! Can you believe that? And Mr. Cake is sick now, too! Now the foals are all scared! But as their unofficial aunt, I will protect them no matter what.

I won't let harm ever come to them.

Adjutant was a former high-ranking changeling under Chrysalis, and now runs a changeling colony in the Everfree Forest under the auspices of Princess Twilight Sparkle. Anyone, changeling or pony, would be lucky to have the attention of a changeling of her status, so why does the only one she desires spurn her attentions?

Surely they can put aside their differences to reach a convenient arrangement?

This a side story that takes place after Spectre of the Past, though it's intended to stand by itself.
